Insecticidal potential of natural zeolites and diatomaceous earths originating from Serbia against Sitophilus oryzae (L.) Tribolium castaneum (Herbst) was evaluated. Two zeolite formulations (NZ NZ Modified) were applied to wheat at rates 0.50, 0.75, 1.0 g/kg, while two earth (DE) (DE S-1 DE S-2) 0.25, g/kg. A bioassay conducted under laboratory conditions: temperature 24 ± 1°C, relative humidity in the range 50–55%, tests with zeolites, 60–65%, DEs, all combinations for progeny production....
Abstract Humic acids (HAs), similar to other fractions of humic substances (HSs), have a large number reactive functional groups enabling them aggregate in solutions. Regardless the origin acid (aqueous or soil), this aggregation process is dependent on environmental conditions and strongly influences mobility soluble ionic molecular pollutants. The aim work was monitor two isolated from different mineral soils (IHSS Elliot soil HA standard Rendzic Leptosol HA) 2–11 pH range. Changes size...
The paper presents the results of experimental and theoretical study 3,3′-disulfopropyl-5,5′-dichlorothiacyanine sodium salt (TC) adsorption J-aggregation on surface citrate-capped silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) with an average particle size 10 nm. Various nanospectroscopy techniques such as UV–vis, TEM, AFM, DLS, ζ potential, fluorescence measurements were carried out in order to characterize hybrid system. Besides this, a set simple density functional theory calculations (DFT) was performed...
Radiolabeled magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) coated with hydrophilic phosphate ligands, i.e., imidodiphosphate (IDP) and inositol hexaphosphate (IHP), were developed as multifunctional agents to localize both radioactivity energy at a tumor site. The coating of MNPs phosphates made them biocompatible, increased their colloidal stability allowed binding the radionuclide 90Y available functional groups on surface MNPs. IDP IHP have not hitherto been used for results this study functionalized...
Secondary hyperparathyroidism is one of the most common complications chronic renal failure (CRF). Its pathogenesis multifactorial and still not completely understood. Pathological mechanism hypocalcemia, hyperphosphatemia calcitriol deficiency are basic characteristics CRF main reason for morphological changes in parathyroid glands (HP). We present a case female patient born 1975. At age 10, urinary infection was diagnosed first time treated. Six years later, as nausea vomiting started,...
A new theoretical approach to the headspace/solid phase microextraction (HS/SPME) process is proposed and tested by analysis of pesticide residues water samples. The focuses on mass transfer at sample/gas gas phase/SPME polymer interfaces. presented model provides a directly proportional relationship between amount analytes sorbed SPME fiber their initial concentrations in sample. Also, expression indicates that quantification possible before partition equilibrium attained. Experimental data...
The relevance of placental growth factor was analyzed at the admission patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) without ST elevation in prognosis fatal outcome after 30 days.We collected blood samples from 102 ACS admitted to unit chest pain manifesting within last 12 hours. In all patients, higher values (PLGF; >13.2 ng/L, average value) indicated a risk (hazard ratio [HR] 2.28, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.21- 4.76, P = 0.0125). PLGF is an important independent prognostic marker...
Abstract The silver and gold L‐methionine capped nanoparticles (Ag Au @LM NPs) were analyzed as prospective acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitors to test their potential in the treatment of cognitive impairment depression Alzheimer's disease. stability NPs, ability inhibit AChE studied by UV‐Vis FTIR spectrophotometry. At same time, TEM SEM measurements, DLS, zeta measurements employed structural characterization NPs. Nearly spherical, negatively charged Ag with 17 nm 31 diameter,...
The main goal of this work was to estimate the influence carboxyl and phenolic groups, as well aromatic, aliphatic polysaccharide components, on soil humic acids (HA) self-aggregation process. Soil HAs (leptosol regosol) were separated using base resin getting fractions with different functional group contents. Blocking groups performed esterification procedure participation each in HA aggregation. presence structural components evaluated by potentiometric titration ATR-FTIR. aggregation...
Markers of plaque instability are considered as predictors future coronary events in patients with non ST-elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) acute syndrome (ACS). The aim this study was to determine the role placental growth factor (PlGF) a possible predictor such non-fatal or cardiac death measured at admission and 30 days after discharge. We prospectively collected data from 102 admitted emergency department (ED) for ACS chest pain rest within preceding 12 hours who were evaluated by...
