A central question in Hedgehog (Hh) signaling is how evolutionarily conserved components of the pathway might use primary cilium mammals but not fly. We focus on Suppressor fused (Sufu), a major Hh regulator mammals, and reveal that Sufu controls protein levels full-length Gli transcription factors, thus affecting production activators repressors essential for graded responses. Surprisingly, despite ciliary localization most components, regulation by cilium-independent. propose...

Summary The CRISPR/Cas9 and Cas12a (Cpf1) tools have been used on a large scale for genome editing. A new effector with single nuclease domain, relatively small size, low‐frequency off‐target effects cleavage capability under high temperature has recently established designated CRISPR/Cas12b (C2c1). Cas12b also shown inducibility in mammalian systems. Therefore, this system is potentially valuable editing the genomes of plant species, such as cotton, that are resistant to temperatures. Using...

Metallic materials are always suffered from the risk of combustion when serviced under some extreme conditions such as high temperature, oxygen-enriched enrichment, and high-speed friction. Although different mathematic models have been proposed but it is still a challenge for accurately describing ignition metals conditions, which great significance safety-use materials. In this paper, based on Semenov Frank-Kamenetskii theory were introduced into effects size, oxygen concentration,...

More than half of the world's population suffers from epidemic diseases that are spread by mosquitoes. The primary strategy used to stop mosquito-borne is vector control. Interference RNA (RNAi) a powerful tool for controlling insect populations and may be less susceptible resistance other strategies. However, public concerns have been raised because transfer antibiotic marker genes environmental microorganisms after integration into recipient genome, thus allowing pathogen acquire...

One would not expect optimum pit depth to be fixed value (a quarter wavelength, as customarily assumed) because this independent parameters optical wavelength based an inappropriate plane wave model. A model has been developed, interference converging spherical waves, for information disk. simple expression was found that gives dependence In different systems will,...

High-accuracy shape sensing for composite structures is key to achieving deformation digital twin monitoring (DDTM) and, thereby, compliant assembly in producing aircraft, automobiles, and similar products. The inverse finite element method (iFEM) a material parameter-independent technology offering an effective approach DDTM of structures. However, unavoidable strain measurement noise limits iFEM's accuracy. To this end, paper proposes high-accuracy based on full-field corrected iFEM, which...
