The glutathione-coordinated [2Fe-2S] cluster is demonstrated to be a viable and likely substrate for physiological iron-sulfur transport by Atm1p, mitochondrial ABC export protein. Flow cytometry colorimetric assays demonstrate quantitative methodology study of metal translocation proteins their proteoliposome products.

Abstract Stem cell transplantation is a promising therapeutic strategy for myocardial infarction. However, transplanted cells face low survival rates due to oxidative stress and the inflammatory microenvironment in ischemic heart tissue. Melatonin has been used as powerful endogenous antioxidant protect from injury. melatonin cannot play long-lasting effect against hostile microenvironment. Nano drug delivery carriers have ability loaded degradation physiological environments controlled...

Assembly and stabilization of a glutathione-complexed [2Fe-2S] cluster is promoted by aggregation glutathione. The core selects the tetramer species from collection equilibrating solution aggregate species, in turn stabilized toward hydrolytic degradation. Studies glutathione derivatives, combination with mass spectrometric Mössbauer investigations provide insight on reaction intermediates during formation [2Fe-2S](GS)4(2-).

Enhanced blue fluorescent carbon nitride quantum dots (g-C3N4QDs) were synthesized by a simple solvothermal "tailoring" process from bulk g-C3N4 and analyzed various characterization methods. The as-obtained g-C3N4QDs successfully applied in the determination of tetracycline (TC) with good linear relationship range 0.23-202.70 μM. proposed sensor shows excellent stability, repeatability, high selectivity outstanding sensitivity to TC low detection limit 0.19 fluorescence quenching mechanism...

Human ferredoxin-1 (hFd1) and human ferredoxin-2 (hFd2) share high sequence similarity but serve on distinct cellular pathways. A unique conformational change is observed when holo hFd2 warmed to physiological temperatures, or higher. Enzymatic studies show that this causes the increase of affinity between adrenodoxin reductase. No such was for hFd1, which may contribute functions hFd1 under conditions.

Abstract Blocking the PD-(L)1 immune checkpoint axis with therapeutic antibodies against either receptor or ligand has proven to be an effective treatment modality for multiple cancer histologies. We describe identification and characterization of novel small molecule antagonists that function by inducing dimerization subsequent internalization PD-L1 protein, effectively depleting from cell membrane preventing PD-1 activation on T cells. Compound-dependent was characterized using several...
