Abstract Terminal cobalt(IV)–oxo (Co IV –O) species have been implicated as key intermediates in various cobalt-mediated oxidation reactions. Herein we report the photocatalytic generation of a mononuclear non-haem [(13-TMC)Co (O)] 2+ ( 2 ) by irradiating [Co II (13-TMC)(CF 3 SO )] + 1 presence [Ru (bpy) ] , Na S O 8 and water an oxygen source. The intermediate was also obtained reacting with artificial oxidant (that is, iodosylbenzene) characterized spectroscopic techniques. In particular,...

Malathion is an organophosphate chemical (OPC) and a toxic contaminant that adversely impacts food quality, human health, biodiversity, the environment. Due to its small size unavailability of sensitive sensors, detection malathion remains challenging task. Often chromatographic methods employed analyze OPCs suffer from several shortcomings, including cost, immobility, laboriousness, unsuitability for point-of-care settings. Hence, developing specific diagnostic sensor quick inexpensive...

The water oxidation reaction, the most important reaction for hydrogen production and other sustainable chemistry, is efficiently catalyzed by Mn4CaO5 cluster in biological photosystem II. However, synthetic Mn-based heterogeneous electrocatalysts exhibit inferior catalytic activity at neutral pH under mild conditions. Symmetry-broken Mn atoms their cooperative mechanism through efficient oxidative charge accumulation clusters are lessons but synthesis strategies have not been successfully...

Background: Diazinon is a widely used organophosphorus neurotoxic insecticide. It common environmental contaminant and hazardous agri-waste. Its detection critical to control entry into food systems protect the environment. Methods: In this study, three single-stranded DNA aptamers specific for diazinon were discovered using systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment (SELEX) process. Since aptamer-based sensors are quick straightforward analyze, they could potentially replace...
