In recent years, the development and utilization of saline land for rice cultivation have effectively expanded grain productivity. Rice is a salt-sensitive crop, increasing salinity problem threatens yield quality. Therefore, we conducted open field experiments to study effect on different growth stages rice. Irrigating treatment was at three stages: irrigating from regreening stage panicle initiation (S1), flowering (S2), maturity (S3). Each period lasted about 30 days. At same time, water...
Fusarium graminearum causes head blight (FHB), a major disease problem worldwide. Resistance to FHB is controlled by quantitative trait loci (QTL) of which two are located on barley chromosomes 2H bin8 and 6H bin7. The mechanisms resistance mediated QTL poorly defined. Near-isogenic lines (NILs) carrying Chevron-derived resistant alleles for the were developed exhibited in field trials. To understand molecular responses associated with resistance, transcriptomes NILs recurrent parents (M69...
Panama disease, or Fusarium wilt, the most serious disease in banana cultivation, is caused by oxysporum f. sp. cubense (FOC) and has led to great economic losses worldwide. One effective way combat this enhancing host plant resistance. The cerato-platanin protein (CPP) family a group of small secreted cysteine-rich proteins filamentous fungi. CPPs as elicitors can trigger immune system resulting defense responses plants. In study, we characterized novel cerato-platanin-like secretome race 4...
Abstract This study investigated the molecular mechanism by which sodium butyrate (NaB) causes oxidative stress damage induced lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on cow mammary epithelial cells (MAC‐T). We found that NaB significantly increased activities of antioxidant enzymes, including superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, catalase, and total capacity decreased reactive oxygen species production in LPS‐induced MAC‐T cells. attenuated protein reduced apoptosis The messenger RNA (mRNA) levels...
Barnyardgrass (Echinochloa crus-galli (L.) Beauv.) is one of the most troublesome weeds in transplanted and direct-seeded rice worldwide. To develop a strategy for biocontrol barnyardgrass, fungal isolates were recovered from barnyardgrass plants that exhibited signs necrosis wilt. An isolate B-48 with high level pathogenicity to was identified after tests. From cultural DNA sequence data, this strain as Colletotrichum echinochloae. The inoculation plant C. echinochloae caused significant...
Purine nucleotides are indispensable compounds for many organisms and participate in basic vital activities such as heredity, development, growth. Blocking of purine nucleotide biosynthesis may inhibit proliferation development is commonly used cancer therapy. However, the function pathway pathogenic fungus Magnaporthe oryzae not clear. In this study, we focused on de novo (DNPB) characterized MoAde8, a phosphoribosylglycinamide formyltransferase, catalyzing third step DNPB M. oryzae. MoAde8...
The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) acts as the starting point of secretory pathway, where approximately one-third proteins are correctly folded and modified, loaded into vesicles, transported to Golgi for further processing modification. In this process, COPII vesicles responsible transporting cargo from ER Golgi. Here, we identified inner shell subunit (MoSec24B) explored importance MoSec24B in rice blast fungus. targeted disruption led decreased growth, reduced conidiation, restricted glycogen...
Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), one of the most common environmental mycotoxin contaminations in food and feed, poses significant threats to human animal health. Our previous study indicated that even non-toxic AFB1 concentrations could promote influenza virus replication induce virus-infected alveolar macrophages polarizing from M1 (immunostimulatory phenotype) M2 (immunosuppressive over time. However, whether promotes via modulating polarization is unknown. Here, we specifically depleted using...
To identify the ideal soybean protein isolate for texturized vegetable processing, effect of different isolates on composition was studied. Three types were selected and analyzed functional properties (water holding capacity (WHC), emulsifying properties, foaming properties), amino acid content, secondary structure. Then, using same formulation, extruded to produce protein, its textural degree texturization, microstructure, free sulfhydryl (free SH), disulfide (S-S) content determined....
Sitobion avenae, a dominant aphid in wheat that causes huge annual losses agriculture, is mainly controlled using chemical pesticides. In this study, we investigated protein elicitor, PeaT, for its induction of the defense response against avenae.Intrinsic rates increase second and third generations S. avenae decreased PeaT1 (second generation 0.31 ± 0.01, 0.28 0.01) treatment compared with controls 0.26 0.01). preferred to colonize control rather than PeaT1-treated seedlings host selection...
Magnaporthe oryzae is a filamentous fungus that causes rice blast. Rice blast seriously threatens the safety of food production. The normal synthesis and metabolism fatty acids are extremely important for eukaryotes, acyl-CoA involved in acid metabolism. Acyl-CoA binding (ACB) proteins specifically bind both medium-chain long-chain esters. However, role Acb protein plant-pathogenic fungi has not yet been investigated. Here, we identified MoAcb1, homolog Saccharomyces cerevisiae . Disruption...
Background.Refractoriness of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) largely depends on its radioresistance. We investigated the radiosensitizing effects celecoxib GBM cell lines under both normoxic and hypoxic conditions.Methods.Two human lines, U87MG U251MG, a mouse line, GL261, were treated with or g-irradiation either alone in combination conditions.Radiosensitizing analyzed by clonogenic survival assays growth assessing apoptosis autophagy.Expression apoptosis-, autophagy-, endoplasmic reticulum...

Septins play a key regulatory role in cell division, cytokinesis, and polar growth of the rice blast fungus (Magnaporthe oryzae). We found that organization septin ring, which is essential for appressorium-mediated infection M. oryzae, requires long-chain fatty acids (LCFAs), act as mediators at membrane interfaces. However, it unclear how ring formation LCFAs regulate pathogenicity fungus. In this study, novel protein was named MoLfa1 because its utilization. affects utilization LCFAs,...
