Radiative corrections to $${B} \rightarrow {D} \ell {{\nu } _\ell $$ decays may have an impact on predictions and measurements of the lepton flavour universality observables $$\mathcal {R}({{D} ^+})$$ ^0})$$. The long-distance Coulomb interactions, which are not simulated in Photos, discussed. Furthermore, high-energy photon emission studied through...

The LHCb experiment at CERN is undergoing an upgrade in preparation for the Run 3 data taking period of LHC. As part this trigger moving to a fully software implementation operating LHC bunch crossing rate. We present evaluation CPU-based and GPU-based first stage High Level Trigger. After detailed comparison both options are found be viable. This document summarizes performance details these options, outcome which has led choice as baseline.

Data Quality Monitoring (DQM) is a crucial task in large particle physics experiments, since detector malfunctioning can compromise the data. DQM currently performed by human shifters, which costly and results limited accuracy. In this work, we provide proof-of-concept for applying human-in-the-loop Reinforcement Learning (RL) to automate process while adapting operating conditions that change over time. We implement prototype based on Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) algorithm validate it...
