The differential and total cross sections for kaon pair production in the pp->ppK+K- reaction have been measured at three beam energies of 2.65, 2.70, 2.83 GeV using ANKE magnetic spectrometer COSY-Juelich accelerator. These near-threshold data are separated into pairs arising from decay phi-meson remainder. For non-phi selection, ratio terms K-p K+p invariant masses is strongly peaked towards low masses. This effect can be described quantitatively by a simple ansatz final state...
The production of $\ensuremath{\varphi}$ mesons in proton collisions with C, Cu, Ag, and Au targets has been studied via the $\ensuremath{\varphi}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ decay at an incident beam energy 2.83 GeV using ANKE detector system COSY. For first time, momentum dependence nuclear transparency ratio, in-medium width, differential cross section for $\ensuremath{\varphi}$-meson forward angles have determined these over range 0.6--1.6 GeV/$c$. There are...
The quasifree $pn\ensuremath{\rightarrow}d\ensuremath{\phi}$ reaction has been studied at the Cooler Synchrotron COSY---J\"ulich, using internal proton beam incident on a deuterium cluster-jet target and detecting fast deuteron in coincidence with ${K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ decay of $\ensuremath{\phi}$ meson. energy dependence total differential cross sections are extracted for excess energies up to 80 MeV by determining Fermi momentum neutron an event-by-event basis. Though these...
Differential and total cross sections for the pp -> ppK+K- reaction have been measured at a proton beam energy of 2.83 GeV using COSY-ANKE magnetic spectrometer. Detailed model descriptions fitted to variety one-dimensional distributions permit separation phi section from that non-phi production. The differential spectra show higher partial waves represent majority an excess 76 MeV, whose dependence would then seem require some s-wave phi-p enhancement near threshold. data can be described...
The pp -> ppK+K- reaction was measured below the phi threshold at a beam energy of 2.568 GeV using COSY-ANKE magnetic spectrometer. By assuming that four-body phase space is distorted only by product two-body final state interactions, fits to variety one-dimensional distributions permit evaluation differential and total cross sections. shapes in Kp Kpp invariant masses are reproduced if K-p interaction even stronger than found higher energy. cusp effect K+K- distribution K0K0bar much more...
Measurements of the $\mathit{pd}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{p}_{\text{sp}}{\mathit{dK}}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ reaction, where ${p}_{\text{sp}}$ is a spectator proton, have been undertaken at Cooler Synchrotron COSY-J\"ulich by detecting fast deuteron in coincidence with ${K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ pair ANKE facility. Although proton beam energy was fixed, moving target neutron allowed values nonresonant quasifree $\mathit{pn}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\mathit{dK}}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$...
The production of the Sigma+ hyperon through pp->K+nSigma+ reaction has been investigated at four energies close to threshold, 1.826, 1.920, 1.958, and 2.020 GeV. At low energies, correlated K+pi+ pairs can only originate from so that their measurement allows total cross section for be determined. results obtained are completely consistent with values extracted study K+-proton correlation spectra in same experiment. These spectra, as well inclusive K+ momentum distributions, also provide...
The unpolarised differential cross section and the two deuteron tensor analysing powers A xx yy of $$\vec dp \to \{ pp\} _s n$$ charge-exchange reaction have been measured with ANKE spectrometer at COSY storage ring. Using beams energies 1.2, 1.6, 1.8, 2.27GeV, data were obtained for small momentum transfers to a {pp} s system low excitation energy. results three lower are consistent impulse approximation predictions based upon current knowledge neutron-proton amplitudes. However, where...
The LHCb experiment at CERN is undergoing an upgrade in preparation for the Run 3 data taking period of LHC. As part this trigger moving to a fully software implementation operating LHC bunch crossing rate. We present evaluation CPU-based and GPU-based first stage High Level Trigger. After detailed comparison both options are found be viable. This document summarizes performance details these options, outcome which has led choice as baseline.
Indications for the production of a neutral excited hyperon in reaction pp --> pK+Y0* are observed an experiment performed with ANKE spectrometer at COSY-Jülich p(beam) = 3.65 GeV/c. Two final states were investigated simultaneously, viz. Y0* pi+X- and pi-X+, consistent results obtained spite quite different experimental conditions. The parameters state M(Y0*) (1480 +/-15) MeV/c2 gamma(Y0*) (60 +/- 15) MeV/c2. cross section decaying through these channels is order few hundred nanobarns....
The cross sections for the pp→ppK+K− reaction were measured at three beam energies 2.65, 2.70, and 2.83 GeV COSY-ANKE facility. shape of K+K− spectrum low invariant masses largely reflects importance KK¯ final state interactions. It is shown that these data can be understood in terms an elastic rescattering plus a contribution coming from production K0K¯0 pair followed by charge-exchange rescattering. Though are not yet sufficient to establish size cusp threshold, mass behaviour suggests...
In order to establish links between p-wave pion production in nucleon-nucleon collisions and low energy three-nucleon scattering, an extensive programme of experiments on is currently underway at COSY-ANKE. The final proton pair detected very excitation energy, leading S-wave diproton, denoted here as {pp}_s. We now report measurements the differential cross section analysing power pol{p}p->{pp}_s pi^0$ reaction 353 MeV. Both observables can be described terms s- d-wave and, by using phase...
The pp → ppϕ and quasi–free pn dϕ reactions have been studied at the Cooler Synchrotron COSY–Jülich, using internal beam ANKE facility. Total cross sections in entrance channel determined three excess energies ∊ range of 18.5–75.9 MeV. In case energy dependence section up to 80 MeV has extracted by exploiting intrinsic momentum neutron inside a deuterium target. Taken together with data for ω–production, significant enhancement ϕ/ω ratio both channels factor 8 is found compared predictions...

This equivalent to photodisintegration free $^{1}S_{0}$ diproton photon ${E}_{\ensuremath{\gamma}}\ensuremath{\approx}{T}_{p}/2$. differential cross sections measured c.m. angles...
Hard bremsstrahlung production in proton–proton collisions has been studied with the ANKE spectrometer at COSY-Jülich energy range of 353–800 MeV by detecting final proton pair {pp}s from pp → {pp}sγ reaction very low excitation energy. Differential cross sections were measured small diproton c.m. angles 0° to 20° and average over this angular interval reveals a broad peak beam around 650 FWHM ≈ 220 MeV, suggesting influence Δ(1232)N intermediate states. Comparison deuteron...
The transverse spin correlations ${A}_{x,x}$ and ${A}_{y,y}$ have been measured in the $\stackrel{P\vec}{d}\stackrel{P\vec}{p}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{p}_{\text{spec}}{{pp}}_{s}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ reaction at COSY-ANKE 353 MeV per nucleon. Here ${{pp}}_{s}$ denotes a proton-proton pair with low excitation energy, which is dominantly ${}^{1}{S}_{0}$ state. By measuring three protons final state it was possible to extract events where there spectator proton ${p}_{\text{spec}}$...
Values of the proton analysing power in $pd\to{}^{3}\textrm{He}\,\pi^0/^{3}\textrm{H}\,\pi^+$ reactions at 350-360~MeV per nucleon were obtained by using a polarised beam incident on deuterium cluster-jet target and with deuteron cell filled hydrogen. These results have much larger angular coverage than existing data. First measurements are also presented vector deuteron-proton spin correlations. Data correlation small angles 600~MeV nucleon, though this energy was more restricted even when...
