The violation of Baryon Number, $\mathcal{B}$, is an essential ingredient for the preferential creation matter over antimatter needed to account observed baryon asymmetry in universe. However, such a process has yet be experimentally observed. HIBEAM/NNBAR %experiment program proposed two-stage experiment at European Spallation Source (ESS) search number violation. will include high-sensitivity searches processes that violate by one or two units: free neutron-antineutron oscillation...
The production of phi mesons in the collisions 2.83 GeV protons with C, Cu, Ag, and Au at forward angles has been measured via -> K+K- decay using COSY-ANKE magnetic spectrometer. meson cross section follows a target mass dependence A^0.56+/-0.02 momentum region 0.6-1.6 GeV/c. comparison data model calculations suggests that in-medium width is about an order magnitude larger than its free value.
In the present work we explore inclusive $\psi(2S)$ meson photoproduction from nuclei near kinematic threshold within collision model, based on nuclear spectral function, for incoherent direct photon--nucleon charmonium creation processes. The model takes into account final absorption, target nucleon binding and Fermi motion. We calculate absolute relative excitation functions production of mesons $^{12}$C $^{184}$W at near-threshold photon beam energies 8.0--16.4 GeV, momentum differential...
The production of $\ensuremath{\varphi}$ mesons in proton collisions with C, Cu, Ag, and Au targets has been studied via the $\ensuremath{\varphi}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ decay at an incident beam energy 2.83 GeV using ANKE detector system COSY. For first time, momentum dependence nuclear transparency ratio, in-medium width, differential cross section for $\ensuremath{\varphi}$-meson forward angles have determined these over range 0.6--1.6 GeV/$c$. There are...
The excitation function and momentum distribution of ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$ mesons have been measured in photoproduction off $^{93}\mathrm{Nb}$ the energy range 1.2--2.9 GeV. experiment has performed with combined Crystal Barrel MiniTAPS detector system, using tagged photon beams from ELSA electron accelerator. Information on sign magnitude real part ${\ensuremath{\eta}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$-Nb potential extracted a comparison data model calculations. An attractive...
Differential and total cross sections for the pp -> ppK+K- reaction have been measured at a proton beam energy of 2.83 GeV using COSY-ANKE magnetic spectrometer. Detailed model descriptions fitted to variety one-dimensional distributions permit separation phi section from that non-phi production. The differential spectra show higher partial waves represent majority an excess 76 MeV, whose dependence would then seem require some s-wave phi-p enhancement near threshold. data can be described...
We study the photoproduction of η' mesons from nuclei near threshold within collision model based on nuclear spectral function. The properly takes into account both primary photon–nucleon γN → η'N and secondary pion–nucleon πN production processes as well effect mean-field potential these processes. find that channel plays an insignificant role in nuclei. calculate transparency ratio for compare it to available experimental data. comparison indicates inelastic cross section order 6–10 mb....
With the imminent construction of Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) and Hyper-Kamiokande, nucleon decay searches as a means to constrain beyond Standard Model (BSM) extensions are once again at forefront fundamental physics. Abundant neutrons within these large experimental volumes, along with future high-intensity neutron beams such European Spallation Source, offer powerful, high-precision portal onto this physics through for $\mathcal{B}$ $\mathcal{B}-\mathcal{L}$ violating...
In the framework of nuclear spectral function approach for incoherent primary proton–nucleon and secondary pion–nucleon production processes, we study inclusive ϕ meson in interaction 2.83 GeV protons with nuclei. particular, A momentum dependences absolute relative yields are investigated within different scenarios its in-medium width. Our model calculations take into account acceptance window ANKE facility used a recent experiment performed at COSY. They show that channel contributes...
