The photophysical and sensory properties of the donor–acceptor pyrazoloquinoline derivative (PQPc) were investigated using absorption, steady-state, time-resolved fluorescence measurements. compound synthesized from commercial, readily available substrates exhibited absorptions in UV–Vis range, with a maximum longwave band around 390 nm. was 460–480 nm, depending on solvent. quantum yield between 12.87% (for n-hexane) 0.75% acetonitrile) decreased increasing solvent polarity. PET mechanism...

Half-sandwich Ru(II) complexes belong to group of biologically active metallo-compounds with promising antimicrobial and anticancer activity. Herein, we report the synthesis characterization arene ruthenium containing benzimidazole moiety, namely, [(η6-p-cymene)RuCl(bimCOO)] (1) [(η6-p-cymene)RuCl2(bim)] (2) (where bimCOO = benzimidazole-2-carboxylate bim 1-H-benzimidazole). The compounds were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C IR, UV-vis CV. Molecular structures determined SC-XRD analysis,...

Antimicrobial resistance is a growing public health concern that requires urgent action. Biofilm-associated to antimicrobials begins at the attachment phase and increases as biofilms maturate. Hence, interrupting initial binding process of bacteria surfaces essential effectively prevent biofilm-associated problems. Herein, we have evaluated antibacterial anti-biofilm activities three ruthenium complexes in different oxidation states with 2-pyridin-2-yl-1H-benzimidazole (L1 = 2,2'-PyBIm):...

The microscopic alga Coccomyxa subglobosa, collected from the Głowoniowa Nyża Cave (Tatra Mountains, Poland), is a source of fatty acids (FAs) that could be used for biodiesel production. FAs subaerial algae have unlimited availability because ubiquity in nature. Algal culture was carried out under laboratory conditions and algal biomass measured during growth phase, resulting 5 g dry weight (32% oil). acid methyl ester (FAME) profile analyzed by means gas chromatography–mass spectrometry...

The constantly growing resistance of bacteria to antibiotics and other antibacterial substances has led us an era in which alternative antimicrobial therapies are urgently required. One promising approach is target bacterial pathogens using metal complexes. Therefore, we investigated the possibility utilizing series manganese(II) complexes with heteroaromatic ligands: Alcohol, aldehyde, ketone, carboxylic acid as inhibitors for biofilm formation Pseudomonas aeruginosa. To complete mentioned...

In this work we present an interferometric approach to quantifying the bacterial growth medium diffusion through a biofilm pretreated with tested antibacterial agent. The effect of agents on Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO1 mature was by digital holographic microscopy and laser interferometry compared biological tests (spectrofluorimetric measurement pyocyanin pyoverdine production). It is shown that multimodal provides better determination cell eradication and/or degradation matrix forming biofilm.

In this work we present a phase-retrieval-based approach to quantifying the diffusion of drugs through biomembranes or biofilms. So far, phenomenon was studied based on fringe orientation resulting from refractive index gradient in vicinity interface. The result is usually obtained with Mach-Zehnder interferometer an imaging system. This limits spatial resolution method and does not allow observation local changes diffusion. For reason, propose use single-shot phase retrieval by utilizing...
