Abstract Injectable composite colloidal gels are developed for regeneration of osteoporotic bone defects through a bottom‐up assembly from bisphosphonate‐functionalized gelatin and bioactive glass particles. Upon bisphosphonate functionalization, nanoparticles show superior adhesion toward particles, resulting in elastic gels. By tuning their composition, these combine mechanical robustness with self‐healing ability. The support cell proliferation differentiation vitro without requiring any...

Conventional cell-based bone regeneration suffers from the major disadvantage of limited cell supply, time-consuming in vitro expansion cultures, and patient-friendliness related to isolation multiple visits clinic. Here, we utilized an alternative concept using "easy access cells" that can be obtained intraoperative manner prepare constructs. We used stromal vascular fraction (SVF) human adipose tissue monocytes for preparation constructs grafted with expanded mesenchymal stem cells...

Considering the elevated number of osteoporotic patients in need bone graft procedures, we here evaluated effect alendronate (ALN) treatment on regeneration defects rats. Bone formation was histologically and histomorphometrically assessed rat femoral condyle filled with (Bio-Oss®) or left empty.Male Wistar rats were induced through orchidectomy (ORX) SHAM-operated. The animals divided into three groups: (ORX), treated ALN (ORX + ALN) healthy (SHAM). Six weeks after ORX SHAM surgeries,...
