Glioblastoma is characterised by invasive growth and a high degree of radioresistance. Survivin, regulator chromosome segregation, highly expressed known to induce radioresistance in human gliomas. In this study, we examined the effect survivin suppression on radiosensitivity malignant glioma cells, while focusing centrosome aberration instability (CIN). We suppressed small interfering RNA transfection, using clonogenic assay trypan blue exclusion U251MG (p53 mutant) D54MG wild type) cells....

Abstract BACKGROUND. Geminin is a nuclear protein that belongs to the DNA replication inhibitor group. It inhibits by preventing Cdt1 from loading minichromosome maintenance onto chromatin, as required for replication. For this study, authors investigated geminin expression in high‐grade astrocytic tumors, including anaplastic astrocytoma (AA) and glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), with view predicting clinical outcomes on basis patients these malignant brain tumors. METHODS....

The characteristics of cerebral aneurysms in Japan differ from other countries the higher incidence unruptured aneurysm detected by brain check-up screening, rupture rate aneurysm, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and superior outcome after hemorrhage based on meta-analysis. Head shape, genetic features, environmental factors, demographics, medical system are also different countries. Unruptured 2.8 times more likely to Japanese than western aneurysms, resulting highest world. exact specific...

An internal carotid artery (ICA) pseudoaneurysm associated with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF-1) is rare. We report the first case of unruptured extracranial ICA in a patient NF-1 successfully treated endovascular stenting and coil embolization.A 66-year-old woman diagnosed had sudden left neck pain massive swelling 3 years earlier. Radiological examination showed ruptured thoracic (ITA). The posttreatment computed tomography (CT) scan revealed complete obliteration aneurysm ITA an right ICA....
