The objective of this study is to investigate clinical characteristics, management methods and possible causes intracranial fusiform aneurysm.Out a series 2,458 aneurysms treated surgically or endovascularly, 22 patients were identified who had discrete aneurysms. Clinical presentations, locations, treatment these analyzed.Ten aneurysm presented with hemorrhage, 5 dizziness with/without headache, 4 ischemic neurologic deficit, 1 6th nerve palsy from mass effect aneurysm. Two discovered...
Antiplatelet therapy, where regimens are tailored based on platelet function testing, has been introduced into neurointerventional surgery. This nationwide registry study evaluated the effect and safety of antiplatelet therapy in stent assisted coiling for unruptured aneurysms compared with conventional using a standard regimen. This enrolled 1686 patients 44 participating centers who received between January 1, 2019 December 31, 2019. The regimen (aspirin clopidogrel) was used all group...
Objective The objective of this study is to verify the relationship between subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) volume (not Fisher grade) and development cerebral vasospasm prospectively. Methods Patients who visited our hospital with a diffuse or localized thick blood clot seen on computed tomography (CT), taken within 48 hours after SAH aneurysm was confirmed by CT Angiogram (CTA) from March 2010 July 2011 were enrolled in study. CTA checked at least twice admission. Angiographic (AVS) defined...
✓ This report documents the treatment of a traumatic aneurysm supraclinoid internal carotid artery (ICA) that was associated with carotid—cavernous fistula (CCF), which appeared following closed head trauma. life-threatening lesion, is very rare, required aggressive management achieved using intravascular stents and coils. A 19-year-old man presented severe intracerebral subarachnoid hematoma after he had suffered injury in motor vehicle accident. Cerebral angiography performed 11 days...
The aim of this study was to report 1-year angiographic follow-up results and midterm clinical outcomes in patients with symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic lesions treated stent placement.Ten ischemic symptoms referable stenotic arteries, greater than 60% stenosis, underwent elective surgery which a primary placed. All pretreatment (> or =1 week) combination oral antiplatelet (clopidogrel aspirin) therapy long-term (6-month) after stents were procedure involved selecting the same size...
The purpose of this study was to report the morbidity, mortality, angiographic results, and merits elective coiling unruptured intracranial aneurysms.Ninety-six aneurysms in 92 patients were electively treated with detachable coils. Eighty-one these located anterior circulation, 15 posterior circulation. Thirty-six presence previously ruptured that had already undergone operation. Nine presented symptoms mass effect. remaining 51 incidentally discovered other cerebral diseases individuals...
A fenestration of the supraclinoid internal carotid artery (ICA) is a rare congenital condition. We report an aneurysm arising from proximal end ICA that was treated by endovascular coiling. Three-dimensional rotational angiography preoperative cerebral provided understanding complex anatomy aneurysms associated with and may facilitate clinical decision regarding treatment option. Endovascular coiling appears to be safe effective for treating originating on ICA, which difficult lesion treat...
The crossing Y-stent technique is a viable option for coiling of wide-necked bifurcation aneurysms. However, little known about the long-term impact this technique. Very late (>1 year) stent thrombosis following placement with dual closed-cell stents basilar tip aneurysm, which has not been reported to date, described.
This report describes the case of a 45-year-old Korean female who had suffered from Behçet's syndrome for two years with huge, unruptured aneurysm originating left coronary sinus. The caused myocardial and aortic insufficiency by compressing proximal anterior descending artery. orifice was at sinus, about 5 mm main ostium, it filled organized thrombi. Surgical repair performed closing entrance Dacron patch implementing valve artery bypass grafting. patient's flow restored postoperatively,...
We present the case of a patient who developed pulsatile tinnitus that was found to be associated with petrous carotid aneurysm. The aneurysm successfully obliterated using stent-assisted coiling, after which symptom-free. Although aneurysms arising from segment internal artery are rare, this pathology must considered as causative factor in patients tinnitus. Endovascular treatment appears have been successful resolving symptoms pathology. Keywords: Pulsatile tinnitus, Aneurysm, Coil embolization
Kissing aneurysms associated with a proximal basilar artery fenestration are an exceedingly rare and unique therapeutic challenge due to anatomical complexity. This report describes double-barrel stent-assisted technique dual closed-cell stents for the successful endovascular coiling of kissing from fenestration. Keywords: aneurysm, Unruptured Basilar fenestration, Stent-assisted coiling, Coil embolization, Endovascular treatment
An 82-year-old man visited the outpatient clinic of our stroke centre because dizziness. He had a previous history without definite sequelae. Severe stenosis in left proximal internal carotid artery (ICA) was seen on Doppler sonography. Conventional angiography revealed focal severe with ‘string sign’ ICA and delayed distal run off. Optical coherence tomography showed multiple channels surrounding narrowed central lumen (lotus root-like appearance). Carotid stent placement protection device...
OBJECTIVE We describe the mechanical detachment of 2 Guglielmi detachable coils (GDC) that had been placed in a ruptured aneurysm and failed to detach by electrolysis. METHODS Mechanical was attempted continuously rotating delivery wire. The feasibility reproducibility this maneuver tested conducting additional vitro tests. RESULTS Two GDCs positioned cerebral electrolysis were separated from wire until weakest segment broke. with correct positioning could be microcatheter tip approximately...

To evaluate the stent apposition of a low-profile visualized intraluminal support (LVIS) device in distal internal carotid artery (ICA) aneurysms, examine its correlation with clinical and angiographic outcomes, determine predictive factors ischemic adverse events (IAEs) related to stent-assisted coiling. We retrospectively analyzed prospectively maintained database 183 patients between January 2017 February 2020. The siphon from cavernous ICA terminus was divided into posterior, anterior,...
The symptoms of dural arteriovenous fistula (dAVF) vary according to the location and pattern venous drainage. Here, we report case a patient with dAVF-induced glossopharyngeal neuralgia. We right neuralgia caused by posterior condylar canal (PCC) dAVF. was accompanied persistent tinnitus repetitive side otalgia, as well ipsilateral shoulder throat pain, lasting for about 30 s. However, there were no specific findings on otoscopic examination. Cranial magnetic resonance imaging performed...
