Guizhou and Yunnan Provinces (Yungui Plateau) in Southwestern China are well known as biodiversity hotspots. We introduce two new species this study viz., Mucispora hydei (in Fuscosporellaceae, Fuscosporellales, Sordariomycetes) Tolypocladium cucullae (Ophiocordycipitaceae, Hypocreales, six records based on morpho-molecular analyses. Full descriptions, color photographs phylogenetic trees to indicate the placements of provided.
Five taxa that morphologically resemble Astrocystis and Collodiscula were collected on bamboo culms from Guizhou, Hainan Yunnan provinces in China. Based morphology molecular analyses (combined ITS, RPB2, β-tubulin α-actin genes), these species identified as cocoes (a new record to China), A. bambusicola, japonica two (A. multiloculata C. lancangjiangensis). can be distinguished other by its superficial stromata containing many perithecia larger ascospores (19–25 × 7–11 μm)....
Drug resistance has become the main reason for failure of tumor chemotherapy. Radix Ophiopogon Japonicus long been used as traditional Chinese medicine to treat pulmonary disease, and Ophiopogonin B (OP-B) a bioactive component it also verified inhibit cell proliferation various non-small lung cancer (NSCLC) cells in vivo vitro. Therefore, we wonder whether OP-B is effective drug resistant cells. Firstly, Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK8) assay was compare sensitivity on NCI-H460, A549, cisplatin...
Abstract Fungi are one of the most diverse groups organisms with an estimated number species in range 2–3 million. The higher-level ranking fungi has been discussed framework molecular phylogenetics since Hibbett et al., and definition higher ranks (e.g., phyla) ‘true fungi’ have revised several subsequent publications. Rapid accumulation novel genomic data advancements now facilitate a robust precise foundation for classification within kingdom. This study provides updated kingdom , drawing...
Castleman disease (CD) is a rare nonmalignant lymphoproliferative disorder presenting systemic symptoms such as fever, night sweats, fatigue, anemia, effusions, and multifocal lymphadenopathy. The etiology of CD has not been clarified to date. coexistence with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma (B-ALL/LBL) rarely reported. Although the pathogenesis remains unclear, this association probably reflects an incidental fortuitous finding rather than alteration common pluripotent stem...
During macrofungal surveys in 2019–2024, several specimens belonging to the family Psathyrellaceae were collected from bed of Indus River, Punjab, Pakistan. Phylogenetic analyses, based on ITS, LSU, and tef-1α sequences morpho-anatomical study, confirmed novelty placement three taxa genus Candolleomyces . They are described as crenatus , C. undulatus virgatus For distinguishing characters, has crenate cap margins, small basidiospores, a marginate base stipe. parabolic campanulate, wavy light...
Apple trees [ Malus domestica Borkh. ( Rosaceae )] are one of the important temperate fruit crops in China. In comparison to other fruits, such as grapes and pears, fungal studies (in Yunnan) associated with M. fewer number. present study, we investigated fungi Qujing City, Yunnan Province, Samples were collected from apple gardens different locations. Single spore isolation was carried out isolate saprobic fungi, while surface sterilization method endophytic fungi. Molecular analyses...
Rust fungi associated with Rubus were collected across diverse locations in Guizhou Province, and three new species - Gerwasiaamphidasydis on Rubusamphidasys, Phragmidiumcoreanicola Rubuscoreanus, Phragmidiumparvifolius Rubusparvifolius are introduced. These novel described based morphological characteristics phylogenetic analysis of the ITS LSU loci. Additionally, Gerwasiarubi-setchuenensis is introduced as a host record Rubusbuergeri. The study includes comprehensive morpho-anatomical...
As most lung cancer patients present with invasive, metastatic disease, it is vital to investigate anti-metastatic treatments for non-small cell (NSCLC). Houttuynia cordata commonly used as a Chinese anticancer medicine in the clinic, and sodium new houttuyfonate (SNH), main compound of this herb, has long been found have antibiotic effects, although its effects not investigated. Here, we tried address lack research from perspective competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) theory. The SNH on NSCLC...
A survey of microfungi in the mountain areas Uzbekistan revealed several specimens cucurbitaria-like taxa. In this paper, one new species Cucurbitaria is described based on a polyphasic approach, including morphological examination and molecular phylogeny. We compared sexual morph (ascomata, asci, ascospores) collected with known carried out multi loci (LSU, ITS, rpb2 tef1-α) phylogenetic analyses. berberidicola sp. nov. morphologically closely related to berberidis (the generic type) C....
Vamsapriya comprises two species from bamboo and is characterized by erect, rigid, dark brown, synnematous conidiophores, monotretic conidiogenous cells brown to septate, conidia in chains. indica, the generic type of Vamsapriya, was recollected isolated culms Chiang Rai Province, Thailand described, illustrated epitypified this paper. Two new genus were also discovered are introduced as V. khunkonensis bambusicola. The differs other known species, mahabaleshwarensis, shape size conidia....
During an investigation of Diatrypaceae from southern China, 10 xylariales-like taxa have been collected. Morphological and multi-gene analyses confirmed that these reside in represent eight novel two new records belonging to six genera (viz ., Allocryptovalsa, Diatrype, Diatrypella, Paraeutypella, Peroneutypa , Vasilyeva gen. nov.). nov. was proposed accommodate cinnamomi sp. Among the other collections, seven species were introduced ( viz Diatrype camelliae-japonicae nov., rubi Diatrypella...
Objective: Circular ribose nucleic acids (circRNAs) are implicated in tumor progression and drug resistance of prostate cancer (PCa).The current work explored the function circ_0005203 (circTHSD4) malignancy docetaxel (DTX) PCa.Methods: circTHSD4 expression within PCa as well matched non-carcinoma samples was measured through real-time reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR).In addition, a subcellular fraction assay conducted to determine localization cells.In...
Sophora flavescens is a regularly used traditional Chinese medicine. In an attempt to discover adequate active agents, the isoprenoid flavonoids from S. were further investigated. this work, two new compounds (1–2, kurarinol A-B) together with 26 known ones (3–28) isolated and elucidated on basis of extensive NMR, UV MS analyses. Furthermore, antioxidant activity all constituents was assessed through ABTS, PTIO DPPH methodologies also evaluated for cytotoxic by three tumor cell lines (HepG2,...
Peatswamp forest is a unique habitat that supports high biodiversity, particularly fungal diversity. The current study collected submerged and dead plant parts from Eleiodoxa conferta , Eugeissona tristis Licuala paludosa peatswamp in Narathiwat Province, Thailand. Morphological features coupled with multigene phylogenetic analyses of ITS, LSU, rpb2 tef1-α sequence data identified our isolates as new Distoseptispora species (viz. D. arecacearum sp. nov. eleiodoxae narathiwatensis )....
Abstract The genus Xylaria comprises a diverse group of fungi with global distribution and significant ecological importance, known for being source bioactive secondary metabolites antibacterial, antioxidative, anticarcinogenic, additional properties. In this study, we present comprehensive taxonomic revision the species found in some parts southern China, characterized by an extensive multilocus phylogeny analysis based on internal transcribed spacer (ITS), TUB2 (β‐tubulin), DNA‐directed...
