This study aimed to evaluate the long-term prognosis of patients with peripheral small ground-glass opacity-dominant lung cancer after sublobar resection. We have already reported 5-year safety and efficacy resection report outcomes a 10-year follow-up period.Between May 2009 April 2011, 333 radiologically noninvasive were enrolled from 51 institutions (median age, 62 years at registration) followed up until 6, 2021. Of these patients, resections wedge as first choice performed in 314 (258...

Abstract Objectives: To identify useful biomarkers for differentiating between malignant mesothelioma (MM) and reactive mesothelial cells (RMCs). Methods: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues from 34 MM 40 RMC samples were analyzed using immunohistochemistry, the findings compared. Results: Positive markers included insulin-like growth factor 2 messenger RNA binding protein 3 (IMP3), glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1), epithelial membrane antigen (EMA), CD146, which showed...

Abstract Background The aim of this study was to assess the ability using mean computed tomography (mCT) values predict non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tumor recurrence. Methods A retrospective conducted on 494 patients with stage IA NSCLC. Receiver operating characteristics analysis used use mCT value, C/T ratio, size, and SUV Multiple logistic regression analyses were performed determine independent variables for prediction Results m-CT − 213.7 ± 10.2 Hounsfield Units (HU) recurrence...

Dynamic chest radiography (DCR) is a type of non-contrast-enhanced functional lung imaging with dynamic flat-panel detector (FPD). This study aimed to assess the clinical significance ventilation and perfusion metrics derived from changes in radiographic density on DCR comparison nuclear medicine imaging-derived metrics.DCR images 42 cancer patients were sequentially obtained during respiration using FPD system. For each subdivided region, maximum change averaged pixel value (Δmax), i.e.,...

Abstract Several ionic and nonionic surfactants were separated into their homologs homologous distributions determined by high performance liquid chromatography on an octadecyl‐silica (TSK Gel LS‐410) column with a water‐methanol‐sodium chloride mixture as mobile phase. The recommended condition for the separation was follows: size, 4 mm id x 250 mm; phase, water/methanol (15/85, v/v) containing 0.4 M/L sodium chloride; temp., 50 C. Under this condition, three nonionic, four anionic one...

Recently, thoracic epidural anesthesia (TEA) has been employed to perform awake surgery procedures. This is the first report that describes an endoscopic thymectomy through infrasternal approach using sternal lifting. procedure allows patient eat, drink, and walk on day of surgery. TEA can also be used for postoperative analgesia. Our experiences have shown it safe beneficial apply this procedure.
