Neospora caninum tissue cysts were found in the brains of surgically delivered twin fetuses at 119 days gestation. In both fetuses, there was an inflammatory reaction involving perivascular cuffings mononuclear cells, glial nodules. The dam these died because metritis. Histopathological examination ewe revealed N. and focal gliosis with cell cuffings. A caninum-specific DNA fragment detected a brain homogenate by polymerase chain method. This is first report infection ovine adult sheep.

The incidence of endometrial cancer and ovarian in Japan has been increasing recent years. Results epidemiologic studies suggest that the onset multiplication these cancers are associated with estrogen. Estrogens metabolized by cytochrome P450 1A1 (CYP1A1) converted into catecholestrogens, which carcinogens. CYP1A1 several polymorphisms, major one being T6235C transition non-coding 3'-flanking region (MspI polymorphism), another A4889G exon 7 (Ile/Val polymorphism). These polymorphisms can...
