In locally advanced pancreatic body cancers, cancer infiltrates major vessels such as the celiac axis, common hepatic artery and superior mesenteric or vein, which is borderline of resectability. Patients also suffer severe abdominal pain. Kondo Hirano et al. developed a radical operation called "distal pancreatectomy with en bloc resection (DP-CAR)" for cases. We applied this procedure three times in two patients carcinomas, combined vascular was necessary. Radical eventually achieved.

Scrub typhus, caused by Orientia tsutsugamushi, is a neglected and reemerging disease that causes considerable morbidity mortality. It now extends beyond the Tsutsugamushi Triangle, region wherein it has traditionally been endemic. Influenza also resurged since infection control measures against COVID-19 were relaxed. A few cases of scrub typhus influenza co-infection have reported. Herein, we report case 74-year-old woman with fever upper respiratory symptoms diagnosed treated oseltamivir;...

SUMMARY We have prepared and characterized monoclonal antibodies against five major structural proteins, i.e. the HA, P, NP, F M of measles virus. At least three non-overlapping antigenic sites were delineated on HA protein, four proteins by competitive binding assays. Antigenic roughly represented functional domains defined serological tests. The reactivity with various virus strains including those from subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) other members morbillivirus family was...
