Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) detection, enumeration and characterization with microfluidic chips has critical significance in cancer prognosis offering a non-invasive "liquid biopsy". Based on physical differences of size deformability, we explore micro-ellipse filters consisting microfuidic slits series gradually narrowed. Slender tunnels sensitively capture slim chance to escape. Tumor could reside at sites organized by arrays microposts enduring less stress. Circular elliptical...

The electromagnetic force from two interfering light beams on isotropic materials is derived for surface relief grating formation processes. Navier-Stokes equation solved the induced motion inside ``photoplasticized'' amorphous azopolymer film. predicted inscription rates and velocities in processes are consistent with experimental evidences, indicating that gratings films formed by materials, under condition of ``photoplasticization'' through sufficient trans-cis-trans isomerization cycling.
