Embryonic numerical and structural chromosomal abnormalities are the most common cause of early pregnancy loss. However, role submicroscopic copy-number variations (CNVs) in loss is unclear, little known about critical regions candidate genes for miscarriage, because large size abnormalities. The aim this study was to identify potential miscarriage-associated CNVs as well miscarriage.Over a 5-year period, 5180 fresh miscarriage specimens were investigated using quantitative fluorescent...

The existing gestational weight gain (GWG) recommendations for twin pregnancies are lacking underweight individuals and not stratified by obesity class. To identify optimal GWG ranges associated with reduced adverse perinatal outcomes prepregnancy body mass index (BMI) categories in pregnancies. This population-based cohort study of using data from the National Center Health Statistics was conducted between January 1, 2014, December 31, 2018. Statistical analysis performed October 24, 2021, to...

Objective To compare the outcomes between gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) vs. non-GDM twin gestations. Methods A retrospective cohort study of 2,151 pregnancies was performed in a tertiary hospital Foshan, China, 2012–2020. Pregnancy and neonatal were compared women with without GDM using 1:1 propensity score matching (PSM) multivariable logistic models. For outcomes, generalized estimating equation (GEE) approach used to address intertwin correlation. Results Of participants, 472...

The association between serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D (25(OH)D) status and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) gained attention in recent years, however the conclusion is still controversial due to many interfering factors, such as region of living, environment, lifestyle, food supplements. Other metabolites (laboratory parameters) are also important reflecting states. This study aimed investigate 25(OH)D early pregnancy with GDM other laboratory parameters pregnant women.A total 1516 women...

Abstract Background Twin birth weight percentiles are less popular in clinical management among twin pregnancies compared with singleton ones China. This study aimed to compare the incidence and neonatal outcomes of small for gestational age (SGA) twins between use percentiles. Methods was a retrospective cohort 3,027 liveborn pairs at > 28 weeks. The newborns were categorized as SGA when birthweight than 10th percentile based on references derived from Chinese population. Logistic...

The optimal threshold of birthweight discordance (BWD) remains controversial. This study aimed to evaluate the associations between BWD at different thresholds and early neonatal outcomes assess their predictive accuracy. This was a retrospective cohort using data with chorionicity information 2348 liveborn twin pairs gestational age ≥26 weeks, from 2012 2018. percentage calculated by dividing actual difference weight larger multiplying 100. A 1488 base pair cDNA clone has been isolated from a library made salivary glands 3‐day feeding adult female ticks. The sequence of this suggests it is the gene for tick homologue stearoyl CoA desaturase. This expressed in eggs and all stages examined, but appears to be transcribed an 8 kb mRNA as well 1.5 mRNA. Because ticks have ability synthesize monounsaturated fatty acids demonstrate large increase during feeding, we hypothesize that desaturase may key enzyme morphogenesis feeding.

A 1084 base pair partial cDNA showing similarity to the C subunit of vacuolar ATPase (V-ATPase) was isolated on a clone from library made salivary glands 3-day-old feeding adult Amblyomma americanum (L.) female ticks. The 5' end completed using primer extension and two pieces joined form complete 1373 bp. This mRNA is expressed in embryos unfed adults females at all stages feeding. Specific inhibitors V-ATPase decrease rate dopamine-stimulated secretion glands, but not as much ouabain, an...

(Abstracted from Ultrasound Obstet Gynecol 2020;55:96–104) Early pregnancy loss is most commonly caused by embryonic numerical and structural chromosomal abnormalities, which explain more than 50% of miscarriages. In recent years, submicroscopic copy-number variations (CNVs) have also been identified in some early miscarriage specimens.
