Two-kaon production in proton-deuteron collisions has been studied at three energies close to threshold using a calibrated magnetic spectrograph measure the final $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ and vertex detector ${K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ pair. Differential total cross sections are presented for of \ensuremath{\phi}-mesons, decaying through $\ensuremath{\phi}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, as well prompt production. The seems follow phase space both its differential...
The High-Energy Storage Ring (HESR) of the future International Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research (FAIR) at GSI in Darmstadt is planned as an antiproton storage ring momentum range from 1.5 to 15 GeV/c. 1,2 HESR being designed built by a consortium consisting IKP Forschungszentrum Jülich, TSL Uppsala University, Darmstadt. An important feature this new facility combination phase-space cooled beams thick internal targets (e.g. pellet targets) which results demanding beam parameter...
The cross section for the pd3Heπ+π− reaction has been measured in a kinematically complete experiment at c.m. excess energy of Q=70 MeV. striking and angular distributions are reproduced simple model calculation where it is assumed that dominated by p-wave π+π− pairs. This contrast to results inclusive measurements somewhat higher beam energies which show strong s-wave ABC enhancement low ππ masses.Received 24 December 1998DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevC.60.061002©1999 American Physical Society
The High-Brilliance neutron Source project (HBS) aims at developing a medium-flux acceleratordriven source based on 70 MeV, 100mA proton accelerator. concept intends to optimize the facility such that it provides high-brilliance beams for instruments operating di_erent time structures. This can be realized by three target stations irradiated with pulse sequences. appropriate pulses will distributed Multiplexer unit. In following, we present integration of this HBS beam optics as well ongoing...
The cooler synchrotron COSY delivers proton and deuteron beams in the momentum range from 300 MeV/c to 3400 MeV/c. different modes of operation - internal experiments with thin or thick targets, external target slow extraction very short pulses require ion optical conditions. Polarisation are increasing interest community. Results polarisation conservation during acceleration beam preparation for experimental requirements will be presented.
New experimental data on the pd -> 3He pi+ pi- reaction obtained with COSY-MOMO detector below three-pion threshold are presented. The was also studied in inverse kinematics a deuteron beam and higher counting rates achieved were especially important at low excess energies. comparison of these inclusive 3He+X allowed estimates to be made pi0 production. results confirm our earlier findings that close there is no enhancement excitation energies system, where seem largely suppressed compared...
