A new method to determine the spin tune is described and tested. The vector and tensor polarizations of a deuteron beam have been measured using elastic deuteron-carbon scattering at 75.6 MeV deuteron-proton 270 MeV. The neutron yield for beryllium, vanadium and tantalum irradiated with 22, 27, 33 42 MeV protons is indirectly determined by Prompt Gamma Neutron Activation Analysis (PGNAA). neutron-to-gamma conversion rate measured an AmBe calibration source.
