To study fundamental questions of hadron and nuclear physics in interactions antiprotons with nucleons nuclei, the universal PANDA detector will be built. Gluonic excitations, strange charm quarks nucleon structure studies performed unprecedented accuracy thereby allowing high-precision tests strong interaction. The proposed is a state-of-the art internal target at HESR FAIR detection identification neutral charged particles generated within relevant angular energy range. This report...

Total and differential cross sections for the dp→He3η reaction have been measured near threshold He3 center-of-mass momenta in range from 17.1 MeV/c to 87.5 MeV/c. The data were taken during a slow ramping of COSY internal deuteron beam scattered on proton target detecting ejectiles with COSY-11 facility. forward–backward asymmetries deviate clearly zero above 50 indicating presence higher partial waves final state. Below fit state enhancement factor total results He3–η scattering length...
This document illustrates the technical layout and expected performance of Micro Vertex Detector (MVD) PANDA experiment. The MVD will detect charged particles as close possible to interaction zone. Design criteria optimisation process well solutions chosen are discussed results this subjected extensive Monte Carlo physics studies. route towards realisation detector is outlined.
Taking advantage of both the low-emittance proton-beam Cooler Synchrotron COSY and high momentum precision COSY-11 detector system, mass distribution eta' meson was measured with a resolution 0.33 MeV/c^2 (FWHM), improving experimental by almost an order magnitude respect to previous results. Based on sample more than 2300 reconstructed pp --> events total width determined be 0.226 +- 0.017(stat.) 0.014(syst.) MeV/c^2.
Measurements of the analyzing power for pp-->pp eta reaction have been performed at excess energies Q=10 and 36 MeV. The determined is essentially consistent with zero, implying dominance s wave both energies. angular dependence power, combined isospin total cross section meson production in nucleon-nucleon collisions, reveal that excitation nucleon to S11(1535) resonance predominantly due exchange pi between colliding nucleons.
Total cross sections for the quasifree $\mathit{pn}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\mathit{pn}\ensuremath{\eta}$ reaction in range from kinematical threshold up to 20 MeV excess energy have been determined. At they exceed corresponding $\mathit{pp}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\mathit{pp}\ensuremath{\eta}$ by a factor of about 3 contrast 6 established higher energies. To large extent, observed decrease ratio...
The excitation function for the $\mathit{pp}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\mathit{pp}{K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ reaction revealed a significant enhancement close to threshold that may plausibly be assigned influence of ${\mathit{pK}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ final-state interactions. In an improved reanalysis COSY-$11$ data at excess energies $Q=10$ 28 MeV, including proton-${K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ interaction, is confirmed. Invariant mass distributions two-...
We have measured excitation function for dp → pppπ - reaction near the η production threshold. observe an enhancement of counting rate above threshold which can originate from meson in 3 He and its subsequent absorption on neutron nucleus leading to creation pπ pair.
For the very first time, correlation femtoscopy method is applied to a kinematically complete measurement of meson production in collisions hadrons. A two-proton function was derived from data for pp → ppX reaction, measured near threshold η production. technique developed purpose this analysis permitted be established separately + and pions systems. The shape ppη differs that pp(pions) both do not show peak structure, opposite results determined inclusive measurements heavy ion collisions.
The low emittance and small momentum spread of the proton deuteron beams Cooler Synchrotron COSY combined with high mass resolution COSY-11 detection system permit to study creation mesons in nucleon-nucleon interaction down fraction MeV respect kinematical threshold. At such excess energies, ejectiles possess relative momenta are predominantly produced angular equal zero. Taking advantage these conditions we have performed investigations aiming determine mechanism production η η′ collision...
The upper limit of the total cross section for pn --> eta' reaction has been determined near kinematical threshold in excess energy range from 0 to 24 MeV. measurement was performed using COSY-11 detector setup, a deuteron cluster target, and proton beam COSY with momentum 3.35 GeV/c. dependence extracted exploiting Fermi momenta nucleons inside deuteron. Comparison ratio R_eta' = sigma(pn eta') / sigma(pp pp corresponding eta-meson production does not favor dominance N*(1535) resonance...
Abstract Quarter-wave resonator (QWR) cavities are prepared for beam commissioning. RF conditioning is performed each QWR cavity. The total heat load, including static and dynamic loads, measured helium pressure fluctuation reduced by changing the flow rate, supply pressure, return cryogenic valve control, etc. cavity monitored during preparation. amplitude phase of stably controlled
Simple–minded thoughts about the cross sections for reactions pp → ppK + K - and 0 are presented, which certainly do not account complex coupled channel problem but rather provide some ideas into mutual reaction dynamics.
Preliminary results of recent measurements the near threshold η meson production in dp → dpη reaction are presented. The experiment was performed at COSY-Juelich accelerator with use COSY-11 detection system. Data were taken for three values deuteron beam momenta corresponding to excess energies 3.2, 6.1 and 9.2 MeV. energy dependence total cross section confirms a strong effect final state interaction.
Information about the production mechanism of η meson in proton-proton collisions can be inferred by confronting experimental studies on analysing power for [Formula: see text] reaction with theoretical predictions this observable. The determined powers Q =10 MeV and =36 are consistent zero. Results show that pure pseudoscalar exchange model fairly describe data, while vector dominance disagree data at level 4.3 σ.
The pp → ppK+K− reaction was measured near threshold at excess energy Q = 4.5 MeV using the COSY-11 detection system installed COSY-Juelich accelerator. Preliminary value of upper limit total cross section determined. This indicates that an enhancement close to threshold, caused by final state interaction, is smaller than suggested extrapolation data higher energies.
A comparison of the close–to–threshold total cross section for η' production in pp → ppη' and pn pnη' reactions constitutes a tool to investigate meson structure reaction mechanism channels isospin I = 0 1 may provide insight into flavour-singlet (perhaps also gluonium) content meson. In this contribution we present preliminary results measurement quasi-free proton-neutron collisions conducted using COSY-11 facility.
