The Review summarizes much of particle physics and cosmology. Using data from previous editions, plus 3,062 new measurements 721 papers, we list, evaluate, average measured properties gauge bosons the recently discovered Higgs boson, leptons, quarks, mesons, baryons. We summarize searches for hypothetical particles such as supersymmetric particles, heavy bosons, axions, dark photons, etc. All search limits are listed in Summary Tables. also give numerous tables, figures, formulae, reviews...

Abstract The Review summarizes much of particle physics and cosmology. Using data from previous editions, plus 2,143 new measurements 709 papers, we list, evaluate, average measured properties gauge bosons the recently discovered Higgs boson, leptons, quarks, mesons, baryons. We summarize searches for hypothetical particles such as supersymmetric particles, heavy bosons, axions, dark photons, etc. Particle search limits are listed in Summary Tables. give numerous tables, figures, formulae,...
We compare different procedures for combining fixed-order tree-level matrix-element generators with parton showers. use the case of W-production at Tevatron and LHC to implementations so-called CKKW MLM schemes using cascades. find that although similar results are obtained in all cases, there important differences.
This Report summarizes the results of activities in 2012 and first half 2013 LHC Higgs Cross Section Working Group. The main goal working group was to present state art Physics at LHC, integrating all new that have appeared last few years. report follows Handbook Sections: 1. Inclusive Observables (CERN-2011-002) second 2. Differential Distributions (CERN-2012-002). After discovery a boson mid-2012 this focuses on refined prediction Standard Model (SM) phenomenology around experimentally...
The discovery by the ATLAS and CMS experiments of a new boson with mass around 125 GeV measured properties compatible those Standard-Model Higgs boson, coupled absence discoveries phenomena beyond Standard Model at TeV scale, has triggered interest in ideas for future factories. A circular e+e- collider hosted 80 to 100 km tunnel, TLEP, is among most attractive solutions proposed so far. It clean experimental environment, produces high luminosity top-quark, W Z studies, accommodates multiple...
In this publication, an algorithm is presented that combines the ME+PS approach to merge sequences of tree-level matrix elements into inclusive event samples [1] with Powheg method, which exact next-to-leading order element results parton shower [2, 3]. It was developed in parallel MEnloPS technique discussed [4] and has been implemented generator Sherpa [5, 6]. The benefits are exemplified by some first predictions for a number processes, namely production jets e + −-annihilation,...
This Report summarizes the results of first 10 months' activities LHC Higgs Cross Sections Working Group. The main goal working group was to present status-of-art on Physics at integrating all new that have appeared in last few years. is more than a mere collection proceedings general meetings. subgroups been different directions. An attempt has made from these complete and homogeneous form. subgroups' contributions correspondingly comprise parts Report. A significant amount work performed...
This Report summarizes the proceedings of 2015 Les Houches workshop on Physics at TeV Colliders. Session 1 dealt with (I) new developments relevant for high precision Standard Model calculations, (II) PDF4LHC parton distributions, (III) issues in theoretical description production Higgs bosons and how to relate experimental measurements, (IV) a host phenomenological studies essential comparing LHC data from Run I predictions projections future measurements II, (V) Monte Carlo event generators.
Sherpa is a general-purpose Monte Carlo event generator for the simulation of particle collisions in high-energy collider experiments. We summarize essential features and improvements 2.2 release series, which heavily used generation analysis interpretation LHC Run 1 2 data. highlight decade developments towards ever higher precision particle-collision events.

This paper presents a comprehensive review of both the theory and experimental successes Quantum Chromodynamics, starting with its emergence as well defined in 1972-73 following developments results up to present day. Topics include earliest theoretical foundations; fundamental constants QCD; an introductory discussion lattice QCD, only known method for obtaining exact predictions from methods approximating special focus on effective field theories; QCD under extreme conditions; measurements...
