This article reports world averages of measurements $b$-hadron, $c$-hadron, and $\tau$-lepton properties obtained by the Heavy Flavor Averaging Group using results available through summer 2016. For averaging, common input parameters used in various analyses are adjusted (rescaled) to values, known correlations taken into account. The include branching fractions, lifetimes, neutral meson mixing parameters, \CP~violation semileptonic decays CKM matrix elements.

The direct CP violation parameter Re(epsilon'/epsilon) has been measured from the decay rates of neutral kaons into two pions using NA48 detector at CERN SPS. 2001 running period was devoted to collecting additional data under varied conditions compared earlier years (1997-99). new yield result: = (13.7 +/- 3.1) times 10^{-4}. Combining this result with that published 1997, 98 and 99 data, an overall value (14.7 2.2) 10^{-4} is obtained experiment.
The present report documents the results of Working Group 2: B, D and K decays, workshop on Flavor in Era LHC, held at CERN from November 2005 through March 2007. With advent we will be able to probe New Physics (NP) up energy scales almost one order magnitude larger than it has been possible with accelerator facilities. While direct detection new particles main avenue establish presence NP indirect searches provide precious complementary information, since most probably not measure full...
We report the first determination of relative strong-phase difference between D^0 -> K^0_S,L K^+ K^- and D^0-bar K^-. In addition, we present updated measurements pi^+ pi^- pi^-. Both exploit quantum coherence a pair mesons produced from psi(3770) decays. The differences measured are important for determining Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa angle gamma/phi_3 in B^- D^0-tilde decays, where is or meson decaying to K^0_S h^+ h^- (h=pi,K), manner independent model assumed describe decay. The potential of a Super Flavor Factory (SFF) for searches new physics is reviewed. While very high luminosity $B$ assumed to be at the core program, its scope extensive charm and $\ensuremath{\tau}$ studies are also emphasized. possibility run $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(5S)$ discussed; in principle, this could provide clean measurements ${B}_{s}$ decays. strength reach SFF most notably due examining an impressive array observables. angles sides unitarity triangle can determined with...
The Dalitz plot analysis technique has become an increasingly important method in heavy flavour physics. Laura ++ fitter been developed as a flexible tool that can be used for analyses different experimental environments. Explicitly designed three-body decays of heavy-flavoured mesons to spinless final state particles, it is optimised order describe all possible resonant or nonresonant contributions, and accommodate CP violation effects. Quantum-correlated $\psi(3770) \to D\bar{D}$ decays collected by the CLEO-c experiment are used to perform a first measurement of $F_+^{4\pi}$, fractional $CP$-even content self-conjugate decay $D \pi^+\pi^-\pi^+\pi^-$, obtaining value $0.737 \pm 0.028$. An important input comes from use K^0_{\rm S}\pi^+\pi^-$ and L}\pi^+\pi^-$ tag signal mode. This same technique is applied channels \to\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0$ K^+K^-\pi^0$, yielding $F_+^{\pi\pi\pi^0} = 1.014 0.045 0.022$ $F_+^{KK\pi^0} 0.734 0.106...

The decay ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}D{K}^{*0}$ is well known to provide excellent potential for a precise measurement of the unitarity triangle angle $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ in future experiments. It noted that sensitivity can be significantly enhanced by studying amplitudes relative those flavor-specific ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}_{2}^{*\ensuremath{-}}{K}^{+}$, which achieved analyzing ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}D{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{K}^{+}$ Dalitz plot.
Quantum-correlated psi(3770)->DDbar decays collected by the CLEO-c experiment are used to perform first measurements of F+, fractional CP-even content self-conjugate D->pi+pi-pi0 and D->K+K-pi0. Values 0.968 +/- 0.017 0.006 0.731 0.058 0.021 obtained for pi+pi-pi0 K+K-pi0, respectively. It is demonstrated how modes this sort can be cleanly included in unitarity triangle angle gamma using B+/- -> D K+/- decays. The high pi+pi-pi0, particular, makes a promising mode improving precision on gamma.
We propose a novel method to measure flavor-oscillations and charge-parity (CP) violation in charm mixing. The approach uses multibody decays, such as $D^0\to K_S^0\pi^+\pi^-$, avoids the need for fit of decay amplitudes while suppressing biases due nonuniform signal-reconstruction efficiencies functions phase space time. Data are partitioned decay-time Dalitz-plot regions (bins). bins symmetric with respect principal bisector chosen ensure nearly constant values strong-interaction phases...

Recent studies of several multi-body $D^0$ meson decays have revealed that the final states are dominantly $CP$-even. However, small value width difference between two physical eigenstates $D^0$-$\overline{D}{}^0$ system indicates total widths to $CP$-even and $CP$-odd should be same within about a percent. The known contributions from hadronic discussed, it is shown an apparent excess quasi-$CP$-even modes balanced, current uncertainty, by interference effects in quasi-flavour-specific...
