This paper reports world averages of measurements $b$-hadron, $c$-hadron, and $\tau$-lepton properties obtained by the Heavy Flavor Averaging Group using results available through September 2018. In rare cases, significant several months later are also used. For averaging, common input parameters used in various analyses adjusted (rescaled) to values, known correlations taken into account. The include branching fractions, lifetimes, neutral meson mixing parameters, CP violation semileptonic...
Treatment of hematologic malignancies with patient-derived anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cells has demonstrated long-term remissions for patients otherwise treatment-refractory advanced leukemia and lymphoma. Conversely, CAR T-cell treatment solid tumors, including gastric cancer (GC), proven more challenging due to on-target off-tumor toxicities, poor tumor infiltration, inefficient expansion, immunosuppressive microenvironments, demanding preconditioning regimens. We report...
A sample of 4 x 10(5) events from the decay K(+)-->pi(+)pi(-)e(+)nu(e) (K(e4)) has been collected in experiment E865 at Brookhaven Alternating Gradient Synchrotron. The analysis these data yields new measurements K(e4) branching ratio [(4.11+/-0.01+/-0.11) 10(-5)], s-wave pi scattering length [a(0)(0) = 0.216+/-0.013(stat)+/-0.004(syst)+/-0.005(theor)], and form factors F, G, H hadronic current their dependence on invariant mass.
356 Background: Autologous anti-claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2) CAR T cell, satricabtagene autoleucel (satri-cel), was developed to treat solid tumors. We report the completed results of Phase 1b ELIMYN18.2 study (Cohort A) in gastric/gastroesophageal junction (GC/GEJ) and pancreatic cancer (PC). Methods: This single-arm, open-label, 1b/2 (NCT04404595) evaluated safety efficacy satri-cel patients with CLDN18.2-positive advanced GC/GEJ or PC. Cohort A consisted a modified 3+3 design. After...
As one of the most powerful tools for examining association between functional covariates and a response, regression model has been widely adopted in various interdisciplinary studies. Usually, limited number are assumed linear model. Nevertheless, correlations may exist high-dimensional models, which brings significant statistical challenges to inference variable selection. In this article, novel factor augmentation structure (fFAS) is proposed multivariate series, selection (fFASM) further...
Using the WKB approximation, massless and massive Dirac quasinormal modes (QNMs) are studied in spherically symmetric regular spacetimes. We analyze relationships between QNM frequencies parameters (angular momentum number $l$, magnetic monopole charge $\beta$ mass of field $m$), discuss extreme $\beta_{e}$ for black holes (BHs). Furthermore, we apply an expansion method to expand QNMs inverse powers $L=l+1/2$, confirm good precision with $l>n$. Finally, improve traditional finite difference...
2538 Background: Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2) is a highly selective cell lineage marker with limited expression in normal gastric tissues and significantly higher primary gastric, pancreatic tumors their metastases. Anti-CLDN18.2-targeted CAR T cells, termed CT041, were developed to evaluate tumor response patient-reported outcomes the cancer. Preliminary results of trial (NCT03874897) showed an objective rate (ORR) about 60% cancer from non-Western population. Here we report CT041 for metastatic...
We review recent advances in calorimetry for high-energy physics. provide an overview of the fundamentals calorimetry, then survey calorimeters used experiments, which represent current state art. conclude with descriptions several research and development efforts discuss future directions field.
Recent studies have shown that deficient mismatch repair (dMMR) rectal cancer may be related to treatment resistance, resulting in a worse prognosis than proficient MMR (pMMR) cancer. The purpose of this study was explore whether surgery plus other treatments (radiotherapy and chemotherapy) can bring more benefits these patients alone.A retrospective 168 with adenocarcinoma who underwent total mesorectal excision conducted using immunohistochemical methods determine status propensity score...
We use the reaction e+e−→hadrons, in Mark J detector at DESY electron-positron collider PETRA, to determine hadronic cross section up 46.78 GeV. The production of a top quark with charge equal (2/3) is excluded 46.6 GeV 95% C.L. observed rise higher energies consistent electroweak prediction for Z0 mass 93 describe some unusual muon inclusive events.Received 27 January 1986DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevD.34.681©1986 American Physical Society
Alveolar bone loss in elderly populations is highly prevalent and increases the risk of tooth loss, gum disease susceptibility, facial deformity. Unfortunately, there are very limited treatment options available. Here, we developed a bone-targeted gene therapy that reverses alveolar patients with osteoporosis by targeting adaptor protein Schnurri-3 (SHN3). SHN3 promising therapeutic target for regeneration, because expression elevated mandible tissues humans mice while deletion greatly...
The Mark J Collaboration at the DESY e+e− collider PETRA presents results on electroweak reactions e+e−→μ+μ−τ+τ−,μ+μ−γ, and e+e−μ+μ−. c.m. energy range is 12 to 46.78 GeV. In μ+μ− τ+τ− channels total cross sections forward-backward asymmetries are reported compared with other experiments. in excellent agreement standard model. weak-neutral-current vector axial-vector coupling constants determined. values for muons τ's compatible universality predictions of μ+μ−γ channel, all measured...
Purple-violet gem spinels from Tanzania and Myanmar have been investigated for their gemological, spectroscopic, chemical, colorimetric characteristics. Samples TS MS both had a purple hue with pinkish or brownish secondary tone medium–strong saturation. We identified number of inclusions, including dolomite, phlogopite, forsterite in Tanzanian spinel magnesite, apatite, baddeleyite, anhydrite, pyroxene, graphite spinel. slightly lower FWHM (full width at half maximum) values the 406 cm−1...
Abstract Quasinormal modes (QNMs) for massless and massive Dirac perturbations of Born-Infeld black holes (BHs) in higher dimensions are investigated. Solving the corresponding master equation accordance with hypergeometric functions QNMs evaluated. We discuss relationships between QNM frequencies spacetime dimensions. Meanwhile, we also stability BH by calculating temporal evolution perturbation field. Both decay rate increase increasing dimension n . This shows that BHs become more...
We have examined the decay $K^0_L \to \pi^0 \mu^+ \mu^-$ in which branching ratio, muon energy asymmetry and could be measured. In particular, we find that within Standard Model longitudinal polarization ($P_L$) of is proportional to direct CP violating amplitude. On other hand out-of-plane ($P_N$) depend on both indirect amplitudes. Although ratio small difficult measure because background, asymmetries large $\cal{O}$(1) Model. A combined analysis asymmetry, $P_L$ $P_N$ used separate CPV,...
