This article reports world averages for measurements of b-hadron, c-hadron, and tau-lepton properties obtained by the Heavy Flavor Averaging Group (HFAG) using results available at least through end 2009. Some presented use data spring 2010. For averaging, common input parameters used in various analyses are adjusted (rescaled) to values, known correlations taken into account. The include branching fractions, lifetimes, neutral meson mixing parameters, CP violation semileptonic decays.

We study the Dalitz plot of decay D(+)-->K(-)pi(+)pi(+) with a sample 15090 events from Fermilab experiment E791. Modeling amplitude as coherent sum known Kpi resonances and uniform nonresonant term, we do not obtain an acceptable fit. If allow mass width K(*)(0)(1430) to float, values consistent those PDG but chi(2) per degree freedom fit is still unsatisfactory. A good found when for presence additional scalar resonance, 797+/-19+/-43 MeV/c(2) 410+/-43+/-87 MeV/c(2). The become...

We present the first direct measurements of pion valence-quark momentum distribution which is related to square light-cone wave function. The were carried out using data on diffractive dissociation $500\mathrm{GeV}/c$ ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ into dijets from a platinum target at Fermilab experiment E791. results show that $|q\overline{q}〉$ asymptotic function describes well for ${Q}^{2}\ensuremath{\sim}10(\mathrm{GeV}/c{)}^{2}$ or more. also measured transverse dijets.

A model-independent partial-wave analysis of the S-wave component Kπ system from decays D+ mesons to three-body K−π+π+ final state is described. Data come Fermilab E791 experiment. Amplitude measurements are made independently for ranges K−π+ invariant mass, and results obtained below 825 MeV/c2, where previous exist only in two mass bins. This method parametrizing a decay amplitude represents new approach analyzing such decays. Though no model required S-wave, parametrization relatively...

Using the large hadroproduced charm sample collected in experiment E791 at Fermilab, we report first directly measured constraint on decay-width difference Delta Gamma for mass eigenstates of D0-D0bar system.
