The Review summarizes much of particle physics and cosmology. Using data from previous editions, plus 3,062 new measurements 721 papers, we list, evaluate, average measured properties gauge bosons the recently discovered Higgs boson, leptons, quarks, mesons, baryons. We summarize searches for hypothetical particles such as supersymmetric particles, heavy bosons, axions, dark photons, etc. All search limits are listed in Summary Tables. also give numerous tables, figures, formulae, reviews...

This White Paper presents the science case of an Electron-Ion Collider (EIC), focused on structure and interactions gluon-dominated matter, with intent to articulate it broader nuclear community. It was commissioned by managements Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) Thomas Jefferson Accelerator Facility (JLab) objective presenting a summary scientific opportunities goals EIC as follow-up 2007 NSAC Long Range plan. document is culmination community-wide effort in following series workshops...
The coherent elastic scattering of neutrinos off nuclei has eluded detection for four decades, even though its predicted cross section is by far the largest all low-energy neutrino couplings. This mode interaction offers new opportunities to study properties and leads a miniaturization detector size, with potential technological applications. We observed this process at 6.7σ confidence level, using low-background, 14.6-kilogram CsI[Na] scintillator exposed emissions from Spallation Neutron...
Moving highly-charged ions carry strong electromagnetic fields that act as a field of photons. In collisions at large impact parameters, hadronic interactions are not possible, and the interact through photon-ion photon-photon known {\it ultra-peripheral collisions} (UPC). Hadron colliders like Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC), Tevatron Large (LHC) produce photonuclear two-photon luminosities energies beyond accessible elsewhere; LHC will reach $\gamma p$ energy ten times...
We determine the parton distribution functions (PDFs) in a next-to-next-to-leading order QCD analysis of inclusive neutral-current deep-inelastic-scattering (DIS) world data combined with neutrino-nucleon DIS di-muon and fixed-target Drell-Yan data. The PDF evolution is performed ${N}_{f}=3$ fixed-flavor scheme supplementary sets PDFs 4- 5-flavor schemes are derived from results 3-flavor using matching conditions. charm-quark contribution calculated general-mass variable-flavor-number...
This article presents the design of Radio Neutrino Observatory Greenland (RNO-G) and discusses its scientific prospects. Using an array radio sensors, RNO-G seeks to measure neutrinos above 10 PeV by exploiting Askaryan effect in neutrino-induced cascades ice. We discuss experimental considerations that drive RNO-G, present first measurements hardware is be deployed projected sensitivity instrument. will production-scale detector for in-ice neutrino signals.
Exclusive vector meson production reactions such as Au+Au$\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\mathrm{Au}+\mathrm{Au}+\mathrm{V},$ where $V=\ensuremath{\rho}, \ensuremath{\omega}, \ensuremath{\varphi}$, or $J/\ensuremath{\psi},$ can proceed through photon-Pomeron and photon-meson interactions. Photons from the electromagnetic field of one nucleus interact coherently with other nucleus. Photonuclear cross sections are scaled $\ensuremath{\gamma}p$ data convoluted photon spectrum to find exclusive rates....

The environment in which bremsstrahlung and pair creation occurs can strongly affect cross sections for these processes. Because ultrarelativistic electromagnetic interactions involve very small longitudinal momentum transfers, the reactions occur gradually, spread over long distances. During this time, even relatively weak factors accumulate enough to disrupt interaction. In Landau-Pomeranchuk-Migdal effect, multiple scattering reduces production section. This review will discuss a variety...

Neutrino astronomy beyond the Sun was first imagined in late 1950s; by 1970s, it realized that kilometer-scale neutrino detectors were required. The such instrument, IceCube, is near completion and taking data. IceCube project transforms 1 km(3) of deep ultratransparent Antarctic ice into a particle detector. A total 5160 optical sensors embedded gigaton to detect Cherenkov light emitted secondary particles produced when neutrinos interact with nuclei ice. Each sensor complete data...
