The coherent elastic scattering of neutrinos off nuclei has eluded detection for four decades, even though its predicted cross section is by far the largest all low-energy neutrino couplings. This mode interaction offers new opportunities to study properties and leads a miniaturization detector size, with potential technological applications. We observed this process at 6.7σ confidence level, using low-background, 14.6-kilogram CsI[Na] scintillator exposed emissions from Spallation Neutron...
We report the first measurement of $\ensuremath{\tau}$ lepton polarization ${P}_{\ensuremath{\tau}}({D}^{*})$ in decay $\overline{B}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{*}{\ensuremath{\tau}}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\tau}}$ as well a new ratio branching fractions...
We present measurements of electrical resitivity \ensuremath{\rho}(T), specific heat C(T), entropy S(T), and magnetic susceptibility \ensuremath{\chi}(T) as functions temperature T for the alloy system ${\mathrm{Y}}_{1\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}\mathit{x}}$${\mathrm{U}}_{\mathit{x}}$${\mathrm{Pd}}_{3}$. For x=0.2, \ensuremath{\rho}(T)/\ensuremath{\rho}(0) is almost linear in 0.2\ensuremath{\le}T\ensuremath{\le}20 K, C(T)/T\ensuremath{\sim}-ln(\ensuremath{\alpha}T) 0.6T16 K. Also, added molar per...
The Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) is a large international scientific facility proposed by the Chinese particle physics community to explore Higgs boson and provide critical tests of underlying fundamental principles Standard Model that might reveal new physics. CEPC, be hosted in China circular underground tunnel approximately 100 km circumference, designed operate as factory producing electron-positron collisions with center-of-mass energy 240 GeV. collider will also at around...
We report the first measurement of coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEvNS) on argon using a liquid detector at Oak Ridge National Laboratory Spallation Neutron Source. Two independent analyses prefer CEvNS over background-only null hypothesis with greater than $3\ensuremath{\sigma}$ significance. The measured cross section, averaged incident neutrino flux, is $(2.2\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.7)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}39}\text{ }\text{...
Background Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major cause of infectious disease mortality globally, with significant underdiagnosis perpetuating transmission. Tongue swab analysis has emerged as promising non-invasive method for pulmonary TB diagnosis. This study evaluates the diagnostic accuracy TB-EASY quantitative PCR (qPCR) assay using tongue specimens. Methods In this prospective multicentre study, conducted across seven designated hospitals in China, 729 participants were included analysis....
Abstract Objective There is a high burden of both diabetes (DM) and tuberculosis (TB) in China, this study aimed to assess feasibility results screening patients with TB for DM within the routine healthcare setting six health facilities. Method Agreement on how screen, monitor record was reached May 2011 at stakeholders’ meeting, training carried out staff facilities July 2011. Implementation started September 2011, we report 7 months activities up 31 March 2012. Results were 8886 registered...
The discovery of the Higgs boson with its mass around 125 GeV by ATLAS and CMS Collaborations marked beginning a new era in high energy physics. will be subject extensive studies ongoing LHC program. At same time, lepton collider based factories have been proposed as possible next step beyond LHC, main goal to precisely measure properties probe potential physics associated boson. Circular Electron Positron Collider~(CEPC) is one such factories. CEPC an $e^+e^-$ circular hosted China. Located...
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a serious global public health problem in the present. TB also affects other sites (extrapulmonary tuberculosis, EPTB), and accounts for significant proportion of tuberculosis cases worldwide. In order to comprehensively understand epidemiology EBTB China, improve early diagnosis treatment, we conducted large-scale multi-center observational study assess demographic data prevalence common EPTB inpatients, further evaluate concurrent with Pulmonary (PTB) associations...
Abstract Next-generation neutrino telescopes with substantially improved sensitivity are required to pinpoint the sources of diffuse astrophysical flux detected by IceCube and uncover century-old puzzle cosmic-ray origins. A detector near Equator will provide a unique viewpoint sky, complementing other in Northern Hemisphere. Here we present results from an expedition northeastern region South China Sea, western Pacific Ocean. favourable telescope site was found on abyssal plain at depth...
There is a high burden of both diabetes (DM) and tuberculosis (TB) in China, as DM increases the risk TB adversely affects treatment outcomes, there need for bidirectional screening two diseases. How this best performed not well determined. In pilot project we aimed to assess feasibility results patients within routine healthcare setting five clinics.Agreement on how screen, monitor record was reached May 2011 at national stakeholders meeting, training carried out staff clinics July 2011....

The MALTA monolithic active pixel detector is developed to address the challenges anticipated in future high-energy physics detectors. As part of its characterization, we conducted fast-timing studies necessary provide a figure merit for this family has metal layer front-end electronics, and conventional laser technique not suitable fast timing due reflection from metallic surface. X-rays have been employed as more effective alternative penetration through these layers. triggered X-ray...
We report a compact multicore fiber laser that utilizes an all-fiber approach for phase locking and in-phase supermode selection. By splicing passive coreless fibers of controlled lengths to both ends active 19-core fiber, we demonstrate the fundamental can be selectively excited with completely monolithic device, instead conventional free-space bulk optics, achieve phase-locked operation multiemitter device.
Using a data sample with total integrated luminosity of 10.0 pb$^{-1}$ collected at center-of-mass energies 2.6, 3.07 and 3.65 GeV BESII, cross sections for $e^+e^-$ annihilation into hadronic final states ($R$ values) are measured statistical errors that smaller than 1%, systematic about 3.5%. The running strong interaction coupling constants $α_s^{(3)}(s)$ $α_s^{(5)}(M_Z^2)$ determined from the $R$ values.
In recent years, the total variation (TV) minimization method has been widely used for compressed sensing (CS) based CT image reconstruction. this paper, we propose a few-view reweighted sparsity hunting (FRESH) reconstruction, and demonstrate superior performance of method. Specifically, key purposed is that (RwTV) measure to characterize in cost function, outperforming conventional TV counterpart. To solve RwTV problem efficiently, Split-Bregman other state-of-the-art L1 optimization...
