Abstract Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) are highlighted due to their low toxicity, compatibility with the human body, high surface area volume ratio, and surfaces that can be easily modified ligands. Biosynthesis of AuNPs using plant extract is considered a simple, low-cost, eco-friendly approach. Brazilian Red Propolis (BRP), product bees, exhibits anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, antioxidant, antimicrobial activities. Here, we described biosynthesis BRP (AuNP ) its fractions hexane , AuNP...

The Brazilian red propolis (BRP) constitutes an important commercial asset for northeast beekeepers. role of Dalbergia ecastaphyllum (L.) Taub. (Fabaceae) as the main botanical source this has been previously confirmed. However, in addition to isoflavonoids and other phenolics, which are present resin D. ecastaphyllum, samples BRP reported contain substantial amounts polyprenylated benzophenones, whose was unknown. Therefore, field surveys, phytochemical chromatographic analyses were...

A new dimeric acylphloroglucinol derivative, andinin (1), was isolated from the underground plant parts of Hypericum andinum, along with three known acylphloroglucinols, uliginosin (2), B (3), and isouliginosin (4). The structure 1 elucidated using 1D 2D NMR MS experiments by comparison previously reported data for acylphloroglucinols. Andinin (1) displayed antidepressant-like activity in a mouse forced-swimming test when administered orally at doses 3, 10, 30 mg/kg.
