Greenland ice core records exhibited 100-fold higher dust concentrations during the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) than Holocene, and input temporal variability corresponded to different climate states in LGM. While East Asian deserts, Sahara, European loess have been suggested as potential source areas (PSAs) for LGM dust, millennial-scale their relative contributions within remains poorly constrained. Here, we present morphological, mineralogical, geochemical characteristics of insoluble...

A new biflavanone, 2,2″,3,3″-tetrahydrorobustaflavone 7,4′,7″-trimethyl ether (1) was isolated from the whole plant of Selaginella doederleinii HIERON. (Selaginellaceae) together with known biflavonoid, robustaflavone (2) as cytotoxic constituents against three human cancer cell lines, HCT, NCI-H358, and K562. The structure compound 1 elucidated by spectral analysis including various 1D- 2D-NMR experiments.

The fundamental Embden–Meyerhoff–Paranas (EMP) pathway for sugar catabolism, anabolism, and energy metabolism has been reconstituted with nonoxidative glycolysis (NOG) sustainable biosystems. Although carbon conservation was achieved via NOG, the significantly limited. Herein, we showed construction of a hybrid EMP that replaced first phase in an industrial bacterium, Corynebacterium glutamicum, NOG absence evolutionary process observed metabolic link phosphorus metabolism. The gastrointestinal tract in the adult Drosophila serves as a model system for exploring mechanisms underlying digestion, absorption and excretion, stem cell plasticity, inter-organ communication, particularly through gut-brain axis. It is also useful studying cellular adaptive responses to dietary changes, alterations microbiota immunity, systematic endocrine signals. Despite various types distinct regions tract, few tools are available target manipulate activity of each type region, their...

Cytotoxic T cells are critical in controlling virus infections. However, continuous antigen stimulation and negative regulatory factors cause CD8 to enter a dysfunctional state (T cell exhaustion), resulting viral persistence. We hypothesized that the exhausted could be molecularly rejuvenated using somatic reprogramming technology, which is technically able convert any types of induced pluripotent stem (iPSCs), regenerate functional capable purging chronic infection. generated new mouse...
