We report a case of patient infected with human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) for 20 years who has experienced CD4(+) T cell depletion in spite maintaining undetectable viral loads. Our data suggest that immune activation can cause even when HIV-1 replication appears to be controlled by host factors.
Gunshot wounds to the brain (GSWB) confer high lethality and uncertain recovery. It is unclear which patients benefit from aggressive resuscitation, furthermore whether with GSWB undergoing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) have potential for survival or organ donation. Therefore, we sought determine rates of donation, as well identify factors associated both outcomes in CPR.We performed a retrospective, multicenter study at 25 US trauma centers including dates between June 1, 2011...

We sought determine whether TH/TTM is safe surgical A retrospective cohort study was conducted at a single level I center reviewing adults presenting as traumatic arrest or the period with Glasgow Coma Scale <8 after return circulation who were treated either TH TTM. Neurological recovery...
