Differentiated vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia (dVIN) is a high-risk preinvasive lesion and precursor of human papillomavirus-independent squamous cell carcinoma (VSCC). Due to its rarity, literature data on malignant potential are scant. The aim the study assess risk developing VSCC in patients surgically treated for dVIN not associated with (solitary dVIN) recurrence (dVIN-VSCC) at first diagnosis.

Abstract Context Because of the rarity adrenocortical cancer (ACC), only a few population-based studies are available, and they reported limited details in characterization patients their treatment. Objective To describe nationwide cohort presentation with ACC, treatment strategies, potential prognostic factors. Methods Retrospective analysis 512 diagnosed 12 referral centers Italy from January 1990 to June 2018. Results ACC as incidentalomas accounted for overall 38.1% cases, frequency that...

Researchers commonly use automated solutions such as Natural Language Processing (NLP) systems to extract clinical information from large volumes of unstructured data. However, text's poor semantic structure and domain-specific vocabulary can make it challenging develop a one-size-fits-all solution. Large Models (LLMs), OpenAI's Generative Pre-Trained Transformer 3 (GPT-3), offer promising solution for capturing standardizing information. This study evaluated the performance InstructGPT,...

Patients are the most important actors in clinical research. Therefore, patient preference information (PPI) could support decision-making process, being indisputable for research value, quality, and integrity. However, there is a lack of clear guidance or consensus on search studies. In this blueprint, an openly available regularly updated management system integrated database (PPMSDB) that contains minimal set data sufficient to provide detailed each study (the so-called evidence tables...

In a randomized controlled trial (RCT) with binary outcome the estimate of marginal treatment effect can be biased by prognostic baseline covariates adjustment. Methods that target odds ratio, allowing for improved precision and power, have been developed. The performance different estimators in frequentist (targeted maximum likelihood estimator, inverse-probability-of-treatment weighting, parametric G-computation, semiparametric locally efficient estimator) Bayesian (model averaging),...
