Abstract Chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is the leading risk factor for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The aim of this study was to explore incidence HCC in a cohort subjects with HBV and correlate treatment current guidance. We identified 2846 over period. diagnosed 386 (14%) subjects; 209 (54%) were on nucleos(t)ide analogue (NA) therapy at time diagnosis, 177 (46%) not NA therapy. Of NAs who developed during follow‐up, 153 (86%) had cirrhosis. Within NAs, 158 (89%) undetectable...

Abstract Background Malignancy-related ascites accounts for approximately 10% of causes ascites. Our AIM was to characterize the fluid and correlate clinical outcomes in those with extrahepatic malignancy Methods 241 subjects solid tumors were reviewed from 1/1/2000 12/31/2019, 119 without liver metastasis 122 metastasis. Results Ascites consistent peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC) most common, 150/241 (62%), followed by reflecting presence portal hypertension (PH), 69/241 (29%). 22/241 (9%)...

Of these 82 patients, 35 (43%) declined LT, 27 (33%) wait‐listed 5 (6%) improved, and 15 (18%) died. Psychosocial most reasons being (49%). Predictors listing receiving...

Background and aims Liver transplantation is a life-saving procedure for end-stage liver disease. However, post-transplant medication regimens are complex non-adherence common. Post-transplant associated with graft rejection, which can have long-term adverse consequences. Transplant centres equipped clinical staff that monitor patients post-transplant; however, digital health tools proactive immunosuppression adherence monitoring has potential to improve outcomes. Methods analysis This...

Background. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a well-recognized complication in patients undergoing liver transplantation (LT), particularly those with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), leading cause of cirrhosis the modern era. This study sought to refine risk stratification for CKD events post-LT MASH by leveraging baseline renal function at transplant. Methods. A total 717 who had LT (1997–2017) 7 US centers (NailMASH Consortium) were analyzed. Patients categorized...

The lifetime risk of biliary tract cancer (BTC) in primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) patients exceeds 20% and BTC is currently the leading cause death PSC patients. To open new avenues for management PSC-associated (PSC-BTC), we aimed to delineate novel clinically relevant genomic pathological features a large cohort PSC-BTC tumor tissues.
