The photoproduction process of neutral kaons on a liquid deuterium target is investigated near the threshold region, Eγ=0.8−1.1 GeV. K0 events are reconstructed from positive and negative pions, differential cross sections derived. Experimental momentum spectra compared with those calculated in spectator model using realistic deuteron wave function. Elementary amplitudes as given by recent isobar models simple phenomenological used to study effect new data angular behavior elementary...

We performed a high-power test of new radio-frequency quadrupole (RFQ II) for the J-PARC linac. RFQ II was developed as spare because operating has suffered from sparking problem. First, conditioning carried out; after 50 h conditioning, became very stable with nominal power and duty 330 kW 3%, respectively. Next thermal properties were measured resonant frequency is tuned by changing temperature cooling water. The response compared to finite-element method simulation results, confirming...

Muons have been accelerated by using a radio-frequency accelerator for the first time. Negative muonium atoms (${\mathrm{Mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$), which are bound states of positive muons (${\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}$) and two electrons, generated from ${\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}$'s through electron capture process in an aluminum degrader. The ${\mathrm{Mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$'s initially electrostatically injected into quadrupole linac (RFQ). In RFQ, to 89 keV. identified momentum measurement time...

The π+π− photoproductions on the proton and deuteron have been studied in a photon energy range of 0.8–1.1 GeV at Laboratory Nuclear Science, Tohoku University. Charged pions protons were detected using Neutral Kaon Spectrometer. We obtained cross sections for p(γ,pπ+π−) d(γ,pπ+π−)n. quasi-free process with neutron spectator was extracted by momentum cut pn>0.3GeV/c. section Δ++Δ− production deduced non-quasi-free γd→pnπ+π−. Abstract A disk and washer (DAW) coupled cavity linac (CCL) was developed for a mediumvelocity part in muon to measure anomalous magentic moment search electric dipole moment. Muons were accelerated from v / c = β 0.3 0.7 at an operational frequency of 1.3 GHz. In this paper, the design, beam dynamics cold-model measurements are presented.
