A linear triple-helical supramolecule Ni9L6 has been prepared through a controllable self-assembly approach using 1,3-bis-(3-oxo-3-phenylpropionyl)-2-hydroxy-5-methylbenzene (H3L) and Ni(OAc)2 under solvothermal conditions.
