Studies of black hole superradiance often focus on the growth a cloud in isolation, accompanied by spin-down hole. In this paper, we consider additional effect accretion matter and angular momentum from environment. We show that, many cases, evolves drifting along threshold, which case evolution its parameters can be described analytically or semianalytically. quantify conditions under serve as mechanism to increase cloud-to-black mass ratio, beyond standard maximum about 10%. This occurs...
The hadronic reaction pp→Σ+K0p was measured exclusively at a beam momentum of 2.95GeV/c using the TOF detector COSY storage ring. A narrow peak observed in invariant mass spectrum K0p-subsystem 1530±5MeV/c2 with significance 4–6 standard deviations, depending on background assumptions. upper limit 18±4MeV/c2 (FWHM) for its width is given by experimental resolution. corresponding total cross section estimated to be about 0.4±0.1(stat)±0.1(syst) μb. Since resonance this subsystem must have...
This paper reports results on simultaneous measurements of the reaction channels pp $ \rightarrow$ pK + \Lambda$ and \Sigma^{0}_{}$ at excess energies 204, 239, 284MeV ( 127, 162, 207MeV . Total differential cross-sections are given for both reactions. It is concluded from measured total that high-energy limit cross-section ratio almost reached an energy only about 200MeV. From distributions observed in overall CMS as well Jackson helicity frames, a significant contribution interfering...
The cross section for the production of ω mesons in proton–proton collisions has been measured a previously unexplored region incident energies. Cross sections σ=(7.5±1.9) μb and σ=(30.8±3.4) (with 20% systematic uncertainties) were extracted at ϵ=92 MeV 173 excess energy above threshold, respectively. angular distribution ϵ=173 is strongly anisotropic, demonstrating importance partial waves beyond pure s-wave this energy.
This paper reports results from a study of the reaction pp → pK0Σ+ at beam momenta p = 2950, 3059, and 3200 MeV/c (excess energies ε 126, 161, 206 MeV. Total cross-sections were determined for all energies; set differential (Dalitz plots; invariant-mass spectra two-body subsystems; angular distributions final-state particles; in helicity Jackson frames) are presented 161 The total proportional to volume available three-body phase space indicating that transition matrix element does not...
We exploit an ambiguity somewhat hidden in Noether's theorem to derive systematically, for relativistic field theories, the stress-energy tensor's improvement terms that are associated with additional spacetime symmetries beyond translations. work out explicitly cases of Lorentz invariance, scale and full conformal invariance. The main idea is use, directly translation Noether theorem, fact these can be thought as suitably modulated Compared more standard derivations terms, ours (1) unifies...
We report on a determination of the analyzing power Ay in p→p→ppω reaction studied with TOF spectrometer located at COSY-accelerator (Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany). This is very well suited for polarization measurements due to its rotational symmetry and full coverage azimuthal angle. For beam momentum p=3065MeV/c corresponding an excess energy ϵ=129MeV found be compatible zero.
Abstract We study the mixed scalar-tensor two-point function in icosahedral inflation. Within regime of validity effective field theory, this has to be perturbatively small; particular, much smaller than scalar spectrum. However, it can bigger that tensor spectrum itself. discuss observational implications for CMB temperature-polarization
A bstract The near vanishing of the cosmological constant is one most puzzling open problems in theoretical physics. We consider a system, so-called framid, that features technically similar problem. Its stress-energy tensor has Lorentz-invariant expectation value on ground state, yet there are no standard, symmetry-based selection rules enforcing this, since state spontaneously breaks boosts. verify Lorentz invariance question with explicit one-loop computations. These, however, yield...
The predictions of inflation are usually defined in terms equal time in-in correlation functions an accelerating cosmological background. These same observables exist for quantum field theory other spacetimes, including flat space. In this paper, we will explore how the Wilsonian renormalization group (RG) and effective (EFT) apply to these both de Sitter Specifically, show that matching short- long-distance calculations requires additional localized at measurement not captured by action...
The PYTHIA 6 Monte Carlo (MC) event generator, commonly used in collider physics, is interfaced for the first time with a fast transport simulation of hydrogen atmosphere, same density as air, order to study properties extended atmospheric showers (EAS) produced by cosmic ray protons energies E$_{CR}\approx 10^{14}$--$10^{20}$ eV. At variance hadronic MC generators (EPOS-LHC, QGSJET, and SIBYLL) cosmic-rays includes generation harder jets heavy (charm bottom) quarks, thereby producing higher...
