Exosomes have emerged as critical mediators of intercellular communication. Hypoxia is widely recognized a key regulator tumor aggressiveness, and significantly affects exosome release by cells. However, the effects exosomes derived from hypoxic lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) cells are poorly understood.Samples miRNA isolated LUAD cell-derived (HExo) normoxic (NExo) were sequenced to identify miRNAs that might mediate progression. Exosomal was co-cultured with assess its biological on cell...

To compare the feasibility and safety of single-port vs. triple-port complete thoracoscopic lobectomy for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).A retrospective study was conducted on 82 patients with NSCLC who underwent from August 2014 to October in Department Thoracic Surgery, Fujian Medical University Union Hospital. There were 33 cases group (single-port group) other 49 ones (triple-port group). Total lymph node harvest, mediastinal dissection groups, operation time, intraoperative blood...

CXCLs play critical roles in antitumor immunity by activating tumor-specific immune responses and stimulating tumor proliferation, thus affecting patient outcomes. However, the expression prognostic values of breast cancer have not been well clarified. The aim this study was to investigate impact transcriptional on patients. Oncomine database, GEPIA (Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis), UALCAN, Kaplan-Meier Plotter, TIMER (Tumor Immune Estimation Resource), DAVID were used our...

Rab27A and Rab27B, members of the Rab family small GTPases, have aberrant expression exert different roles in various cancers. However, their potential prognostic values esophageal squamous cell cancer (ESCC) still remain elusive. In present study, we explored association Rab27B with clinical significance prognosis ESCC.A total 100 surgically resected ESCC tissues were examined to evaluate levels using immunohistochemistry method. The relationship clinicopathological features was analyzed....

Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) is currently a better choice than thoracotomy for lung resection, and then single-port VATS has been increasingly applied in clinical settings with the improvements both endoscopic instruments surgical skills. Our center began to perform lobectomy May 2014 had performed all sort of resection 168 patients till December 2014, including wedge routine lobectomy, sleeve segmentectomy pneumonectomy. All these procedures were successfully without any...

The management of the intersegmental plane (ISP) is challenging during uniport video-assisted thoracoscopic (VATS) pulmonary segmentectomy. Staplers and electrocautery have been used extensively in ISP management. However, both them their respective drawbacks. Currently, we provided a revised technique termed as "Combined Dimensional Reduction Method" (CDR method), for managing with combined application ultrasonic scalpel staplers. study aimed to review outcomes patients who underwent VATS...

Abstract Background The learning curve of single-port thoracoscopic lobectomy (SPTL) in lung cancer has been widely studied. However, the efficiency different experience levels thoracic surgeons mastering is unknown. Hence, we discuss this issue depth by using several perioperative parameters and oncological outcomes. Methods A total 120 consecutive cases SPTL performed a senior (STS group) junior (JTS were retrospectively analyzed. Operation time, estimated blood loss, duration...

Depending on the pathological stage, patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) can experience poor prognosis after surgery. This study was designed to analyze effect of various treatments in pathologic node-positive cancer who undergo radical surgery. We evaluated 210 stage IIb-IIIc (pT1-4aN + M0) had undergone esophagectomy for thoracic ESCC from January 2013 October 2015 at our institute. Surgery alone applied 65 patients, postoperative chemotherapy 112 and adjuvant...

The role played by long noncoding RNA GCC2-AS1 in primary malignant tumors remains poorly understood. This study aimed to determine the expression levels and evaluate clinical significance biological effects of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD).We used data obtained from tissue samples TCGA database LUAD patients, prognostic value those levels. Functional experiments were performed investigate effect on cells. Genes that differentially expressed GCC2-AS1-low -high groups analyzed an enrichment...

We retrospectively analyzed the prognostic value of albumin-to-fibrinogen ratio (AFR)-neutrophil-to-lymphocyte (NLR) score, comprising preoperative AFR and NLR, in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) patients after radical resection.Overall, 215 were included. The optimal cutoff was determined using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Based on a low (<12.06) high NLR (≥1.78), AFR-NLR score classified as 2 (both hematological abnormalities present), 1 (one abnormality or 0...

Thoracoscopic segmentectomy might be an alternative to lobectomy for small size lung cancer. Precise identification of the pulmonary intersegmental plane was needed optimal segmentectomy. Recently, (1) ultra-high-definition 4K systems had claimed overcome lack depth perception by secondary visual cues; (2) no-waiting procedure induced as and optimized method identifying plane. It unclear whether combined endovision with "no-waiting" technique in thoracoscopic could achieve excellent result....

We describe herein a case of single-port thoracoscopic right main bronchial tumor sleeve resection and secondary carinal reconstruction. A 66-year-old male patient had longer than 12 months, who been received endobronchial cryosurgery twice before. However, the relapsed quickly. Then transferred to our department. He was underwent complete recovered smoothly, without any perioperative complications. On 5th postoperative day (POD), he discharged in good condition.
