Ru(ii)/2-mercaptopyrimidine complexes active against cancer cells did not present toxic effects during embryonic and larval development of zebrafish.
This study reports the synthesis, structural characterization and cytotoxic activity of four new palladium/pyridylporphyrin complexes, with general formula {TPyP[PdCl(P-P)]4}(PF6)4, where P-P is 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (dppe), 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane (dppp), 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)butane (dppb) or 1,1'-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene (dppf). The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV/Vis, 1H 31P{1H} NMR (1D/2D) spectroscopy. slow evaporation a...
There is a concern about stablishing the clinical risk of drugs used for cancer treatment. In this study, cytotoxic, clastogenic and genotoxic properties cis-tetraammine(oxalato)ruthenium(III) dithionite - cis-[Ru(C2O4)(NH3)4]2(S2O6), were evaluated in vitro human lymphocytes. The mitotic index (MI), chromosomal aberrations (CA) DNA damage by comet assay also analyzed. MTT test revealed that ruthenium compound showed slight cytotoxic effect at highest concentration tested. IC50 value after...
