Abstract The therapeutic potential of nanomaterials toward oxidative damage relevant diseases has attracted great attentions by offering promising advantages compared with conventional antioxidants. Although different kinds nanoantioxidants have been well developed, the facile fabrication robust and efficient nanoscavengers is still met challenges like use toxic high‐cost subunits, involvement multistep synthetic process, redundant purification work. Herein, a direct strategy polyphenol...

Hyperoxia-induced lung injury limits the application of mechanical ventilation on rescuing lives premature infants and seriously ill respiratory failure patients, its mechanisms are not completely understood. In this article, we focused relationship between hyperoxia-induced reactive oxygen species (ROS), nitrogen (RNS), mitochondria damage, as well apoptosis in pulmonary epithelial II cell line RLE-6TN. After exposure to hyperoxia, viability was significantly decreased, accompanied by...

This report describes a patient with COVID-19 who developed spontaneous pneumothorax and subpleural bullae during the course of infection. Consecutive chest computed tomography images indicated that COVID-19-associated pneumonia had damaged alveoli distal bronchus. Coughing might have induced sudden increase in intra-alveolar pressure, leading to rupture bronchus resulting bullae. At 92-day follow-up, completely resolved, which these complications self-limiting features.

Background: Hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (HIBD) is a prevalent injury with high mortality and morbidity. It results from hypoxia ischemia of the due to various perinatal factors. A previous study showed that knockdown programmed cell death factor 4 (PDCD4) could reduce infarction resulting ischemia/reperfusion injury. However, exact mechanism by which PDCD4 acts in HIBD not yet understood. Our aim present investigation was investigate function alleviating HIBD. Methods: An model developed...

In this paper, a cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) jet array is generated by 2-D device of seven CAP jets arranged in honeycomb configuration and designed with single-electrode as the elemental jet. The work motivated challenge using inherently small plasmas to address many large-scale processing applications. discharge characteristics are investigated based on detailed electrical, spectroscopic, imaging characterizations. shown achieve good temporal jet-jet uniformity. Furthermore, dynamic...

An atmospheric-pressure plasma jet generated by a sinusoidal power input of tens kilohertz and designed with concentric wire-mesh cylinder electrode is characterized in this paper. Effects gas flow rate on the length have been investigated, seen to three different modes varied flow. The temperature measured fine-structure fitting emission bands UV OH, molecules, Boltzmann plot method, comparison data obtained an optical-fiber thermometer. In addition, electron density generation region...

A history of SARS-CoV-2 infection has been reported to be associated with an increased risk postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs). Even mild PPCs can elevate the rates early mortality, intensive care unit (ICU) admission and prolong length ICU and/or hospital stays. Consequently, it is crucial develop perioperative management strategies that mitigate these risks in surgical patients who have recently infected SARS-CoV-2. Accumulating evidence suggests nitric oxide (NO) inhalation...
