Despite recent therapeutic advances that have doubled the median survival time of patients with multiple myeloma, intratumor genetic heterogeneity contributes to disease progression and emergence drug resistance. miRNAs are noncoding small RNAs play important roles in regulation gene expression been implicated cancer We investigated role miR-221-222 family dexamethasone-induced resistance myeloma using isogenic cell lines MM1R MM1S, which represent models sensitivity, respectively. Analysis...
Abstract Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer, which despite recent advances in treatment, remains incurable due to molecular heterogeneity of tumor cells. The B-cell lymphoma 9 (BCL9) oncogene functions as a transcriptional co-activator Wnt/β-catenin pathway, plays critical roles CRC pathogenesis. Here we have identified β-catenin-independent function BCL9 poor-prognosis subtype tumors characterized by expression stromal and neural associated genes. In...
Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) has greater infiltration of M2-like macrophages (TAMs), which enhances cell invasion and leads to a poor prognosis. TNBC progression is mediated by both tumor cells the microenvironment (TME). Here we elucidate mechanism interaction between TAMs. In this study, confirmed that CD44v5 highly expressed in TNBC, drives metastasis promotes TAM polarization co-localizing with IL4Rα inhibiting its internalization degradation, thereby promoting activation...
MYD88 L265P is the most common mutation in lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma/Waldenström macroglobulinemia (LPL/WM) and one of frequent poor-prognosis subtypes diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Although inhibition mutated pathway has an adverse impact on LPL/WM DLBCL cell survival, its role initiation remains to be clarified. We show that mice, human MYD88L265P promotes development a non-clonal, low-grade lymphoproliferative disorder with several clinicopathologic features resemble LPL/WM,...
Abstract Gliomas are the most common malignant tumor in central nervous system and also one of leading causes death cancer patients. Recently, mounting evidence suggested that both long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) microRNAs play important roles proliferation invasion cancers, including gliomas. However, role lncRNA RP11‐626G11.3 glioma‐genesis is still uncovered. Results indicated was up‐regulated glioma tissues cell lines, moreover, its overexpression positively correlated with poor prognosis...
Objectives: To present and discuss the demographic radiographic aspects of craniomaxillofacial bone islands (BIs) in population china. Materials Methods: A retrospective chart review was performed all cases BIs diagnosed Department Oral Radiology West China College Stomatology, Sichuan University. The data collected included age at diagnosis, gender, race, location, presenting symptoms, type BIs. Results: In evaluation, appear as localized, well-defined, non-expansile, radiopaque masses,...
Key Points Ras pathway activation cooperates with Ink4a/Arf locus deletion in B cells to induce a fully penetrant lymphoma/leukemia phenotype mice. These tumors resemble high-risk subtypes of human B-ALL, providing convenient and highly reproducible model refractory B-ALL.
Abstract The balance between T helper type 1 (Th1) and 2 (Th2) cells is critical for both innate acquired immune reactions. However, the precise mechanisms of helper‐cell differentiation remain unclear. As an important T‐cell activation molecule, CD44 participates in Th1 Th2 cells. We demonstrated that variant exon v5 (CD44 v5) highly expressed by induced human To investigate role domain cell differentiation, we treated CD4 + with anti‐CD44v5 antibody observed levels phosphorylated STAT6...
The objective of the study was to investigate anti-tumour effect ethanol extract Solanum lyratum Thunb. in S180 tumour-bearing mice, and preliminarily explore its mechanism action. Methods: Mice were made into S180Solanum had certain tumour inhibitory effect, which can elevate serum IL-2, TNF-a contents, increase thymus spleen indices a extent. concluded that has vivo may be exerted through enhancing body immunity.Key words: Thunb.; sarcoma; inhibition rate
Abstract Background Autosomal Dominant Alzheimer's Disease (ADAD) is a rare and early‐onset form of disease with familial pattern inheritance. While the pathological features ADAD, such as amyloid plaques neurofibrillary tangles, have been extensively studied, involvement white matter (WM) neuroinflammation not well‐explored. In sporadic AD, hindered ratio (HR) derived from diffusion basis spectrum imaging (DBSI) has used to study in WM. This aims investigate potential role WM an early...

Reference-based metrics such as BLEU and BERTScore are widely used to evaluate question generation (QG). In this study, on QG benchmarks SQuAD HotpotQA, we find that using human-written references cannot guarantee the effectiveness of reference-based metrics. Most have only one reference; replicated annotation process collect another reference. A good metric was expected grade a human-validated no worse than generated questions. However, results our newly collected reference disproved...
