Contralateral C7 nerve transfer to the median has been used in an attempt restore finger flexion patients with total brachial plexus avulsion injury. However, results have not satisfactory mainly because of requirement use a long bridging graft, which causes extended regeneration process and irreversible muscle atrophy. A new procedure involving contralateral via modified prespinal route direct coaptation injured lower trunk is presented here.Contralateral was performed seventy-five...
The present study aimed to investigate the anti‑leukemic effects of dihydroartemisinin (DHA) on T‑cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‑ALL) cell lines, Jurkat and Molt‑4, underlying mechanisms. Cell Counting Kit‑8 was performed measure viability. apoptosis cycle distribution were assessed by flow cytometry. expression levels ATF4 CHOP mRNA reverse transcription‑quantitative PCR, while protein abundance SLC7A11, GPX4, determined western blotting. Moreover, malondialdehyde, glutathione (GSH)...
Approximately 80% of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients exhibit EGFR overexpression. The overexpression has been linked to its potential role in modulating major histocompatibility complex class I (MHC-I) molecules. We discovered that EGFR, operating a kinase-independent manner, played stabilizing the expression SLC7A11, which subsequently inhibited MHC-I antigen presentation. This mechanism, turn, provided protection NPC cells against T cell-mediated cytotoxicity. underlying molecular...
Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) is the second most common skin cancer. Dihydromyricetin (DHM), a Rattan tea extract, has been shown to have antitumor activity with no obvious toxicity normal cells in vitro and vivo. However, its efficacy treatment of CSCC underlying mechanism not fully elucidated yet. In our study, DHM increased autophagic flux A431 cells, as evidenced by upregulation LC3-II downregulation P62/SQSTM1. Moreover, pharmacological or genetic blocking autophagy decreased...
Abstract Purpose : In this report, we present our experience on the repair of brachial plexus root avulsion injuries with use contralateral C7 nerve transfers grafting through a modified prespinal route. Methods The outcomes transfer to neurotize upper trunk and C5/C6 roots total or near injury in series 41 patients were evaluated. that was dissected distal end divisions, along sural graft, placed underneath anterior scalene longus colli muscles, then passed retro‐esophageal space recipient...
Although self-management reportedly can improve the health and quality of life patients with COPD, there is no validated instrument for evaluating status COPD.A 51-item COPD Self-Management Scale (CSMS), including 5 domains (symptom management, daily emotion information self-efficacy), was developed validated, using data from 413 subjects. The CSMS showed good reliability validity in validation study. The test-retest correlation coefficient Cronbach alpha were 0.87 0.92, respectively. content...
There is a high prevalence of malnutrition in cancer patients, which seriously affects the anti-cancer therapy effect and outcomes, causing huge disease burden worldwide. Appropriate nutritional support important for prevention control. The aim this study was to explore development trends, hotspots, frontiers Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) on Cancer from bibliometric perspective, provide new insights future research clinic practices. The global literature MNT published between 1975 2022 were...
Temperature is a key component in regulating the survival and growth of aquatic animals. However, mechanism high-temperature stress Whitmania pigra Whitman has received little attention. Therefore, aim this study was to investigate possible mechanisms W. using transcriptome analysis detection antioxidant markers. Samples were collected at 1 d, 3 5 7 d under two experimental groups: control group 27 °C 35 °C. High-temperature caused oxidative damage leech intestine, as indicated by decreased...
Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is a highly aggressive and rapidly fatal malignancy worldwide. Collagen XVII (COL17A1) has been implicated in various protumorigenic processes. However, the functions mechanisms of COL17A1 LUAD progression still remain elusive.
Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) belongs to the tyrosine kinases family and overexpression of EGFR has been linked poor prognosis cancer progression. Somatostatin 2 (SSTR2) is a G-protein-coupled (GPCR) with diverse biological functions in humans, it upregulated through NF-KB signalling pathway nasopharyngeal carcinomas (NPC). However, no studies have examined SSTR2 NPC. This study aimed investigate whether associated clinicopathological features
Heat stress is an increasingly concerning topic under global warming. can induce organisms to produce excess reactive oxygen species, which will lead cell damage and destroy the antioxidant defense of aquatic animals. Chinese mitten crab, Eriocheir sinensis, sensitive change in water temperature, parent crabs are more vulnerable during breeding stage. In present study, multi-omics responses E. sinensis gills heat (24 h) were determined via transcriptome proteome. The integrative analysis...
Background . Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is the most serious type of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CAD). The pathological changes are characterized by atherosclerosis. Oxidative stress plays an important role in Thioredoxin-interacting protein (TXNIP), endogenous inhibitor and regulator thioredoxin, could bind thioredoxin to regulate its expression antioxidant activity negatively. NCBI data show that there two isoforms TXNIP gene, namely, TXNIP1 TXNIP2. Our previous studies...
ALDH1A1 is one of the highly conserved isoenzymes aldehyde dehydrogenase family. It mainly involved in metabolism intracellular aldehydes and forms transcriptional regulators, which are essential for growth differentiation normal cells. Overexpression many malignancies cancer stem cells (CSCs) closely associated with poor prognosis promotes tumor aggressiveness drug resistance during conventional chemotherapy. In this study, we found that had suppressor effects BRCA, CESC, LIHC, Lung cancer,...
Aims: Programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) is the of programmed (PD-1), which a host immunity inhibitory receptor.Expression PD-L1 in diverse tumor types has been widely discussed, while there little research about intrinsic-PD-1.Phospho-S6 (p-S6) an important downstream effector PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway. Our study was focused on investigating expression cancer cell-intrinsic PD-1, and p-S6 proteins aimed to illustrate their relationship clinical significances nasopharyngeal carcinoma...
Mixed Lineage Leukemia rearranged acute myeloid leukemia (MLLr AML) predicts a poor prognosis. Histone demethylase JMJD1C is potential druggable target of MLLr AML. However, little known about how contributes to Here we found that regulates lipid synthesis-associated genes including FADS2, SCD in AML cells. Lipid protein FABP5 was identified as specific interacting and binds the jumonji domain JMJD1C. also mRNA expression. JDI-10, small molecular inhibitor by us, represses cells, induces...
We report the case of a 60-year-old male with giant colorectal laterally spreading tumor at recto-sigmoid junction. A single tunnel-assisted endoscopic submucosal dissection was performed that constructed tunnel along longitude axis tumor. An en bloc resection achieved no perforation or post-operative bleeding and comparatively low procedure time.
