Doxorubicin is a widely used agent in the treatment of cancer, but cardiotoxicity associated with this drug limits its potential for use. The cardioprotective effects dapagliflozin, an antidiabetic drug, have to counteract cardiotoxic effect doxorubicin therapy. In our study, we aimed investigate protective dapagliflozin from possible doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity.

With the increasing incidence of cancer among adult population, radiotherapy (RT) is frequently used as a critical component in treatment various types. Due to nature ionizing radiation, damage usually occurs within tissues anatomical neighborhood with primary tumor localization. Dapagliflozin (DAPA), originally developed an oral anti-diabetic medication, has been shown have potent cardioprotective effects DAPA-HF trial. The DAPA against RT induced cardiac cellular were investigated this...

Rhabdomyolysis (RM) can lead to life-threatening myoglobinuric acute kidney injury (AKI). Despite various treatment modalities for AKI, their effectiveness remains limited. Dexpanthenol (DEX) is an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-apoptotic agent with demonstrated protective effects on tissues. The current study aimed investigate the genetic mechanisms of DEX in AKI due glycerol-induced RM. Thirty-two female Wistar Albino rats weighing between 250-300 g were allocated into four...

Poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation is a posttranslational protein modification carried out by family of enzymes referred to as poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases (PARPs). It has been proposed that the broad nuclear distribution PARPs may allow them modulate gene expression in addition their more accepted role DNA repair mediators. The poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation during oogenesis and folliculogenesis unknown. Here we found when 3- 4-wk-old mice were injected with 5-amninoisoquinolinone, water soluble inhibitor...
