Estrogen replacement therapy (ERT) is necessary for uterine development and bone mass acquisition in women with Turner syndrome (TS) suffering from ovarian insufficiency. However, adequate ERT regimens have not yet been established. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy both acquisition. One hundred TS patients Yokohama City University Hospital (88 primary amenorrhea (PA) 12 spontaneous menstrual cycles (MC)) were enrolled after obtaining consent. Clinical profiles, length (UL)...

Although radiation therapy (RT) and concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) are the global standards for adjuvant treatment in cervical cancer, many Japanese institutions choose chemotherapy (CT) because of low frequency irreversible adverse events. In this study, we aimed to clarify trends intermediate/high-risk cancer after radical surgery Japan.A questionnaire survey was conducted by Gynecologic Oncology Group 186 authorized active gynecologic cancer.Responses were obtained from 129...

Atypical protein kinase C λ/ι (aPKCλ/ι) is a regulator of epithelial cellular polarity. It also overexpressed in several cancers and functions cell proliferation invasion. Therefore, we hypothesized that aPKCλ/ι may be involved development progression cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN), the precancerous disease cancer induced by human papillomavirus. To do this, investigated relationship between expression CIN. level subcellular localization were assessed 192 CIN biopsy samples 13...

We developed a novel plasma amino acid profile-based index (API) to detect ovarian, uterine, cervical, and endometrial cancers. In this study, we aimed evaluate whether abnormal API values could be normalized after curative treatment in patients with gynecological malignant tumors. Patients cancer were included study. Pre-operative absolute compared those treatment. The normalization rates of negative for the expression three well-known tumor markers (SCC, CA125, CA19–9) also evaluated....

We previously reported that aberrant expression of atypical protein kinase C λ/ι (aPKCλ/ι) in low-grade squamous intraepithelial uterine cervix lesions was associated with an increased risk progression to higher grade. This study aimed investigate aPKCλ/ι patterns cervical cell carcinoma (SCC) and its association disease progression. immunohistochemically assessed 168 SCC samples 13 normal samples. In 69.0% cases, expressed more abundantly than epithelium, but there no significant between...

Endometrial stromal tumors (ESTs) are composed of cells resembling endometrial stroma, and divided into benign malignant types based on morphology. nodule (ESN) is a localized tumor, sarcoma (ESS) an infiltrative potentially metastatic neoplasm. A series genetic aberrations contribute to pathological diagnosis ESTs. At present, subsets ESN ESS-low grade (ESS-LG) characterized as JAZF1-SUZ12/JJAZ1 gene fusion. The ESTs that show higher atypia but lack nuclear pleomorphism include YWHAE-FAM22...

Transvaginal uterine restoration of nonpuerperal inversion is difficult; there are risks heavy bleeding and perforation. In such cases, total hysterectomy transfusion inevitable.A 47-year-old woman with profuse genital bleeding, diagnosed caused by a fibroma, underwent emergency surgery. Uterine perforation occurred during transvaginal restoration, revealed laparoscopy. Bleeding persisted blood volume increased; therefore, was performed for hemostasis.

Pelvic arteriovenous malformations (pAVMs) are rare lesions that sometimes pose diagnostic challenges. We report on a 50-year-old woman with pAVM presenting only abdominal distension and bloating. The tool was color Doppler transvaginal ultrasonography. Surgical excision of the AVM performed, there no subsequent recurrence.
