Neutrophils roll on P-selectin expressed by activated platelets or endothelial cells under the shear stresses in microcirculation. glycoprotein ligand-1 (PSGL-1) is a high affinity ligand for myeloid cells. However, it has not been demonstrated that PSGL-1 contributes to rolling of neutrophils P-selectin. We developed two IgG mAbs, PL1 and PL2, appear recognize protein-dependent epitopes human PSGL-1. The mAbs bound all leukocytes as well heterologous transfected with cDNA. PL1, but blocked...

Reported are the rational synthesis, structures, and solution dynamics of three tetrasubstituted neutral Ge9-based deltahedral clusters [Ge9R3R′]0, where R = Si(SiMe3)3 R′ Et (1), SnnBu3 (2), or Tl (3). The first step synthesis is a reaction an acetonitrile suspension intermetallic precursor compound K4Ge9 with {Si(SiMe3)3}Cl which produces trisubstituted monoanions [Ge9{Si(SiMe3)3}]−. A benzene latter then reacted SnnBu3Cl TlCp to produce 2 3, respectively, while same EtBr in order 1. All...

Abstract The title compound, which has a ten‐atom deltahedral cluster core of Ge 9 Pd, was synthesized through insertion Pd(PPh 3 ) into the tetrasubstituted nona‐germanium [(Me Si)Si] EtGe reaction latter with 4 . This first neutral nine‐atom clusters shows that they retain reactivity despite their charge. Pd is incorporates 5‐connected transition metal other than from Group VI, noble in this case. Inspired by the multielectron redox chemistry achieved using conventional organic-based redox-active ligands, we have characterized a series of iron-functionalized polyoxovanadate–alkoxide clusters in which metal oxide scaffold functions as three-dimensional, electron-deficient metalloligand. Four heterometallic were prepared through sequential reduction, demonstrating that is capable storing up to four electrons. These reduced products cyclic voltammetry, IR, electronic absorption, and 1H...

Herein we report the synthesis of a series iron-functionalized, mixed-valent, polyoxovanadate alkoxide clusters, [V5O6(OCH3)12Fe]X (X = Cl, Br, SO3CF3) comprised hexanuclear Lindqvist (M6O19(n-)) core. By substituting V═O moiety from well-defined hexavanadate clusters [V(IV)nV(V)6-nO7(OR)12](4-n) (R Me, Et) with metal cation, have developed novel template for investigation organometallic properties these systems.
