Abstract Testosterone plays an important role in maintaining both physical and mental function. Age‐related testosterone depletion contributes to the development of angina, arteriosclerosis, obesity, metabolic syndrome, dementia, frailty, a range other conditions. A condition involving age‐related associated clinical symptoms is defined as late‐onset hypogonadism (LOH). LOH treated by replacement therapy. Indications for therapy are determined evaluating signs.

The antifibrotic drugs, nintedanib and pirfenidone, inhibit the decline in forced vital capacity patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).
