Abstract A missense somatic mutation in the FOXL2 gene affecting codon 134 has recently been reported granulosa cell tumour (GCT) and thecoma of ovary. Such a recurrent nature strongly suggests that may play an important role development ovarian sex cord‐stromal tumours. The aim this study was to characterize human tissues. We analysed 1353 tissues from various origins, including tumours other common cancers, by single‐strand conformation polymorphism analysis. found 53 56 adult GCTs (94.6%)...
Kim M S, Chung N G, Kang R, Yoo J & Lee S H(2011) Histopathology58, 660–668Genetic and expressional alterations of CHD genes in gastric colorectal cancers Aims: Chromodomain helicase DNA-binding protein (CHD) is a regulator the chromatin remodelling process. The aim was to determine CHD1, CHD2, CHD3, CHD4, CHD7, CHD8 CHD9mutational status mononucleotide repeats with microsatellite instability (MSI). Methods Results: were determined 28 (GCs) high MSI (MSI-H), 45 GCs low (MSI-L)/stable (MSS),...
Summary Cell phones are becoming an inevitable part of the classroom, but extant research suggests that using cell in classroom impairs academic performance. The present study examined impact different phone policies on learning and emotion‐regulation style. Participants were randomly assigned to one four experimental conditions: usage allowed, possession allowed without usage, removed, a no‐instruction control group. All participants watched 20‐minute lecture sent text messages mimic...
Background: Although there are several available management strategies for treatment of both acute pain herpes zoster (HZ) and postherpetic neuralgia (PHN), it is difficult to treat them adequately. Objective: The aim this study was evaluate the efficacy intravenously administrated vitamin C on its preventive effects PHN in patients with HZ.Methods: Between September 2011 May 2013 eighty-seven who were admitted HZ assessed according age, sex, underlying diseases, duration skin lesion,...
Summary Hyaluronic acid ( HA ) is the most popular agent today for intradermal injections to improve wrinkles and other cosmetic defects. Ischemic necrosis due injection of one serious complications. Because there are many vascular branches around nose, caution care should be given during facial filler injection. Although incidence rare, blindness permanent visual loss may occur. We describe a 29‐year‐old woman presented with painful erythematous swelling violaceous patch on right periocular...
Early gastric cancers (EGCs) precede advanced (AGCs), with a favourable prognosis compared to AGC. To understand the progression mechanism of EGC AGC, it is required disclose and AGC genomes in mutational evolutionary perspectives. We performed whole-exome sequencing copy number profiling nine microsatellite (MS)-unstable (MSI-H) (five EGCs four AGCs) eight MS-stable (MSS) (four AGCs). In cancers, we observed well-known driver mutations (TP53, APC, PIK3CA, ARID1A, KRAS) that were enriched...

The principle of photodynamic treatment (PDT) involves the administration photosensitizer (PS) at diseased tissues, followed by light irradiation to produce reactive oxygen species (ROS). In cells, a moderate increase in ROS plays an important role as signaling molecule promote cell proliferation, whereas severe causes damage. Previous studies have shown that low levels stimulate growth through PS drugs-treating PDT and nonthermal plasma treatment. However, these methods side effects which...

Astaxanthin (AST) is related to apoptosis but the details of mechanism how AST makes not clear. The present study investigated apoptotic effects SKBR3, a breast cancer cell line in detail. Cell viability assay showed cellular proliferation and morphological changes cells were observed under treatment. FACS analysis indicated that blocked cycle progression at G0/G1, suppressed dose-dependently, induced cells. by was further demonstrated through decreased expression level mutp53 cleaved PARP-1...
Angiotensin II (AngII) is a crucial hormone that affects vasoconstriction and exerts hypertrophic effects on vascular smooth muscle cells. Here, we showed phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase-dependent calcium mobilization plays pivotal roles in AngII-induced constriction. Stimulation of rat aortic cell (RASMC)-embedded collagen gel with AngII rapidly induced contraction. contraction was blocked by pretreatment 3-kinase (PI3K) inhibitor (LY294002) whereas ERK (PD98059) not effective. significantly...
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is biocompatible, easy to use and reversible. HA fillers are considered be safe, although some complications can occur. At this time, hyaluronidase used off-label for correction. A 41-year-old woman presented our clinic focal erythematous plaque on injection site. She got the correction of filler excess. The skin lesion continued 7 days. Histopathologic findings were nonspecific. On intradermal test, allergic reaction confirmed. Adverse effects uncommon with local site...
In 2015, workers dismantling a fluorescent lamp factory in Korea were affected by mercury poisoning from exposure to vapor.Eighteen out of the 21 who participated demolition project presented with symptoms and, these, 10 had persistent even at 18 months after initial vapor. Early included general skin rash, pruritus, myalgia, sleep disturbance, and cough sputum production. Following alleviation these symptoms, late such as easy fatigue, insomnia, bad dreams, anxiety disorder, began manifest...
A transcription factor‐encoding gene ZNF 292 is considered a candidate tumor suppressor ( TSG ). Its mutations have been identified in cancers from liver, colon, and bone marrow. However, inactivating that might suppress the functions not reported gastric GC ) colorectal CRC with microsatellite instability MSI In public database, we found had mononucleotide repeats coding sequences be mutation targets . this study, analyzed 79 s 124 including high ‐H) stable/low MSS / ‐L) cases for detection...
Molluscum contagiosum (MC) is a common viral infection of the skin and mucous membrane that often affects young children. Generally, physical removal by surgical curettage commonly used for treatment MC, but pain during major problem. Thus immunotherapy using various antigens has been introduced recently. Here we present two cases MC improved with measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) vaccine intralesional injection. On ground our knowledge, they were first successful MMR injection in this disease entity.
MYH11 functions as a contractile protein, converting chemical energy into mechanical through adenosine triphosphate hydrolysis. In cancers, an oncogenic fusion CBFB/MYH11 and frameshift mutations have been reported. Truncating mutants of exhibited increased ATPase motor activity, suggesting their roles in balance movement cancer cells. gene has mononucleotide repeat (C8) the coding sequences that could be mutational target cancers exhibiting microsatellite instability (MSI). We analyzed C8...
Abstract Background A single cycle (two repeated treatments) with intrathecal autologous bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs, 26-day interval) showed safety and provided therapeutic benefit lasting 6 months in patients ALS but did not demonstrate long-term efficacy. This phase III clinical trial (ALSUMMIT) protocol was developed to evaluate the efficacy of combined single-cycle therapy three additional booster injections BM-MSC (Lenzumestrocel) treatment ALS. Methods ALSUMMIT...
