ABSTRACT Colistin resistance threatens global health as it compromises the effectiveness of a last-resort antibiotic. We present complete genome sequence Enterobacter cloacae ST462, which carries mcr-9.1 gene, isolated from pediatric diarrhea case in southern Vietnam. The 5,049,362 bp contains 24 genes distributed across 107 contigs.
Salmonella spp. is a prominent causative agent of pediatric diarrhea, with recent research emphasizing the rising concern regarding antimicrobial resistance (AMR), particularly involving colistin, last-resort antibiotic. This study involved collection 500 stool samples from children diarrhea two tertiary hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City. Conventional methods were used to isolate spp., and antibiotic profiling against seven antibiotics was conducted using disk diffusion method. Colistin...
Besides Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis is an important bacterial species for the production of recombinant proteins. Recombinant genes are inserted into shuttle expression vectors which replicate in both E. coli and B. subtilis. The ligation products first transformed cells, analyzed correct insertions, plasmids then A major problem using cells can be strong basal level protein may interfere with stability cells. To minimize this problem, we developed being repressed inducer-free In...
Single-domain antibodies or nanobodies have recently attracted much attention in research and applications because of their great potential advantage over conventional antibodies. However, isolation candidate the lab has been costly time-consuming. Screening leading nanobody candidates through synthetic libraries is a promising alternative, but it requires prior knowledge to control diversity complementarity-determining regions (CDRs) while still maintaining functionality. In this work, we...
SUMMARY The objective of this study was to characterize Listeria monocytogenes isolated from farmed Atlantic salmon ( Salmo salar ) and the processing environment in three different Norwegian factories, compare these clinical isolates by multiple-locus variable-number tandem repeat analysis (MLVA). 65 L. obtained gave 15 distinct MLVA profiles. There great heterogeneity distribution profiles factories within each factory. Nine found fish-associated were match human profile 07-07-09-10-06...
Capsaicin reduced poly(lactic-co-glycolic) acid (PLGA)-induced fibrosis by promoting IL-10 secretion and suppressing alpha-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) expression. The lifetime efficacy of tissue engineering scaffolds are determined the foreign body response. In this study, we investigated in vitro vivo effects capsaicin to reduce biomaterial-induced fibrosis. RAW 264.7 cells cultured on PLGA films with responded significant (p < 0.05) upregulation M2 markers arginase-1 downregulation M1 iNOS...
Abstract A woman in her 30s with a history of multiple bone fractures unexpectedly became pregnant and delivered full-term baby through cesarean section, despite suffering from excruciating pain without any apparent cause or specific treatment. The patient was referred to our endocrine clinic following childbirth. Blood tests revealed life-threatening low level serum phosphate, normal 25-hydroxy vitamin D concentration, TmP/GFR ratio, elevated FGF23 levels. PET/CT scan Gallium-68 Dotatate...
A G-quadruplex-specific DNA endonuclease was constructed by fusing a RHAU G-quadruplex recognition domain with Fok1 cleavage domain, providing useful tool for detection of structures.
Parallel G-quadruplex (G4) can act as a target-inducer of dimerization and activation proteins fusing with RHAU peptide.
This study conducts a quantitative on the impact of revenue diversification profitability 25 commercial banks currently operating in Vietnamese market. The research results with support panel regression models such as pooled OLS, random effect model, fixed model and robustness enhancing techniques have revealed negative banks. Interestingly, varies across banks' ownership structure state-owned experience leveraged influence. These provide reliable empirical basis for proposing number...
p24 protein is a component of the HIV particle capsid. It plays an essential role in to infect into host cell and cycle life virus. Therefore, this can be used orientative study “to create produce HIV’s vaccine”. This created new Bacillus subtilis strain which expressed protein. B. safety non-toxic bacteria for humans animals, has system expression allow over recombinant up 10-30 % total proteins. Plasmid pHT1537 was cloned successfully, containing lysSN-6his-gagp24 gene encode fused with...
Choosing fusion tags to enhance the recombinant protein levels in cytoplasm of Bacillus subtilis has been limited. Our previous study demonstrated that His-tag at N-terminus could increase expression low-expression gene egfp, while significantly reducing high-expression genes gfp+ and bgaB B. subtilis. In this study, we aimed prove potential a tag, combination N-terminal domain lysyl tRNA synthetase (LysSN) with varying numbers histidine (6xHis, 8xHis, 10xHis) by investigating their effects...
Introduction: The formation of G-quadruplex plays a key role in many biological processes. Therefore, visualization is highly essential for design G-quadruplex-targeted small molecules (drugs). Herein, we report on an engineered fluorescent protein probe which was able to distinguish topologies.
Methods: generated by genetically incorporating yellow (YFP) RNA helicase associated with AU-rich element (RHAU) peptide motif.
Results: This could selectively bind and visualize parallel...
Introduction: G-quadurplex (G4) formation plays a role in many biological processes such as replication, transcription, translation and telomeric maintenance. Stabilization of G4 structure by peptide has recently emerged potential approach the regulation protein expression. In this study, we reported on cyan fluorescent (CFP) expression interaction RNA helicase associated with AU-rich elements (RHAU) E. coli.
Methods: A sequence TTGGGTGGGTGGGTGGGT (formed into structure) was...
