Breast milk constitutes one of the most important sources postnatal microbes. However, influence perinatal factors on microbiome is still poorly understood. The aim our study was to assess impact mode delivery composition and diversity present in breast healthy mothers. Mature samples (n=10) were taken from mothers after 1 month exclusively breastfeeding. Microbiomes analyzed with 16S ribosomal RNA gene pyrosequencing targeted quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Despite...
Breast milk (BM) is considered as a reference for infant nutrition. The role of bioactive components, such cytokines, hormones, growth factors (GFs) and fatty acids (FAs) poorly known, but they might be implicated in immune response development. aim this study was to identify the lipid profile spectrum cytokines neuronal GF BM samples analyse influence gestational age lactation time on these components. This used longitudinal prospective method characterization FAs GFs global profiles 120...
Abstract Tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase type 5 (TRAP) exists as two isoforms, 5a and 5b. 5b is a marker of osteoclast number chronic inflammation; however, its association with bone resorption unknown. In this study, double-TRAP 5a/5b sandwich ELISA measuring protein in the same sample was developed. TRAP levels were evaluated differentiation/activity markers serum culture, their correlation to CTX-I examined. Serum concentrations healthy men 4.4 ± 0.6 ng/ml 1.3 0.2 ng/ml, respectively,...
Osteopontin (OPN) is an immunoregulatory protein which production increases in both rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and osteoarthritis (OA). Phosphorylated osteopontin (Phospho-OPN) known to increase macrophage osteoclast activation, this process controlled by extracellular tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAcP), also a biomarker for RA. Here, we evaluated the phosphorylation status of OPN RA OA synovia, as well its correlation with TRAcP isoforms.Synovial tissue fluid were obtained from 24...
Purpose: Tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) exists as two isoforms, 5a and 5b. TRAP is elevated in adipose tissue of obese women, interacts with pre-adipocytes linked to insulin-sensitive hyperplastic obesity when overexpressed mice. The aim this study was investigate the relation between serum 5a, adiposity indices metabolic syndrome risk markers lean using a newly developed 5a-specific ELISA.Materials methods: A sandwich ELISA optimized monoclonal antibodies tested sera healthy...
The murine macrophage cell line RAW264.7 is extensively used as a progenitor to study osteoclast (OC) differentiation. heterogeneous line, containing sub-clones with different abilities form OCs. aim of this was identify characteristics within the cells that define an augmented ability bone-resorbing OCs (H9), well representing non-OCs (J8). were isolated by single cloning. Selection based on TRAP/cathepsin K expression in sub-clone cultures without added RANKL. Sub-clones before and after...
The acquisition of intestinal microbiota is essential for infants who are also in close contact with viruses. We assayed the presence human enteric viruses faeces 44 healthy breast-fed 6-month-old from rural Malawi. Half tested harboured enteroviruses, although had no gastric symptoms, suggesting a viral community mainly composed asymptomatic enteroviruses.
