Two distinct types of systemic amyloidosis—transthyretin (ATTR) and light chain (AL)—account for the majority cardiac amyloidosis (CA), which have been considered mutually exclusive. Diagnostic confusion can arise when both proteins are identified from an amyloid deposit. We present a rare occurrence histopathologically confirmed concomitant ATTR AL CA captured on 99m Tc-3,3-diphosphono-1,2-propanodicarboxylic acid (DPD) scan 18 F-flutemetamol (FMM) PET/CT.

Background/Objectives This study aimed to evaluate whether very early interim 18F-fluoro-2-deoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET)/computed (CT) after a single cycle of first-line chemotherapy predicts long-term survival outcome in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Methods A total 51 (31 males and 20 females; mean age 55 years) had four FDG PET/CT studies, at baseline one, three, six cycles (PET0, PET1, PET3, PET6). Visually quantitatively assessed PET...

To evaluate the clinical significance of incidental focal prostate fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake, we reviewed 18-F-FDG positron emission tomography (PET)/CT scans from 2003 to 2007 and selected cases with FDG uptake in prostate. Cases known cancer were excluded. The maximum standardised value (SUV(max)), site (central or peripheral) pattern (discrete ill-defined) calcification (present absent) volume (<30 ≥30 cc) recorded. PET/CT findings correlated serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA)...

To evaluate the prognostic value of metabolic tumor volume (MTV) and maximum standardized uptake (SUVmax) on initial positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) investigate clinical SUVmax for early detection locoregional recurrent disease after postoperative radiotherapy in patients with locally advanced head neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC).A total 100 HNSCC received primary excision dissection followed by adjuvant or without chemotherapy. The MTV were measured from sites...

Whether FDG PET/CT can replace bone marrow biopsy (BMBx) is undecided in patients with diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL). We compared the visual PET findings and radiomic features, BMBx results. A total of 328 were included; 269 (82%) PET-negative 59 (18%) PET-positive for lesions on assessment. fair degree agreement was present between (ĸ = 0.362, p < 0.001). Bone involvement lead to stage IV 12 patients, despite no other evidence extranodal lesion. Of 35 discordant BMBx-negative cases,...

Abstract Although differentiation between central chondroid tumors is important, their parallelism makes it a diagnostic conundrum for clinicians and radiologists. The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficiency quantitative single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT)/computed (CT) in differentiating grade I chondrosarcomas from enchondromas. We reviewed SPECT/CT images patients with enchondromas arising long bones. Volume, mean standardized uptake value (SUVmean), maximum...
