Abstract Throughout vertebrates, cerebrospinal fluid-contacting neurons (CSF-cNs) are ciliated cells surrounding the central canal in ventral spinal cord. Their contribution to modulate locomotion remains undetermined. Recently, we have shown CSF-cNs by directly projecting onto locomotor pattern generators (CPGs), but sensory modality these convey circuits and their relevance innate remain elusive. Here, demonstrate vivo that form an intraspinal mechanosensory organ detects bending. By...

Abstract Chemical and mechanical cues from the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) can affect development function of central nervous system (CNS). How such are detected relayed to CNS remains elusive. Cerebrospinal fluid-contacting neurons (CSF-cNs) situated at interface between CSF ideally located convey information local networks. In spinal cord, these GABAergic expressing PKD2L1 channel extend an apical extension into ascending axon in cord. zebrafish mouse CSF-cNs originate two distinct...

Cytokines secreted by individual immune cells regulate tissue regeneration and allow communication between various cell types. bind to cognate receptors trigger the healing process. Determining orchestration of cytokine interactions with their on cellular targets is essential fully understand process inflammation regeneration. To this end, we have investigated Interleukin-4 (IL-4)/Interleukin-4 receptor (IL-4R) Interleukin-10 (IL-10)/Interleukin-10 (IL-10R) using in situ Proximity Ligation...

The cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) constitutes an interface through which chemical cues can reach and modulate the activity of neurons located at epithelial boundary within entire nervous system. Here, we investigate role functional connectivity a class GABAergic sensory contacting CSF in vertebrate spinal cord referred to as CSF-cNs. remote activation CSF-cNs was shown trigger delayed slow locomotion zebrafish larva, suggesting that these cells components locomotor central pattern generators...

Introduction: Complex gastroschisis is one of the most frequent causes short bowel syndrome (SBS) in pediatrics. Motility disorders, intestinal dilatation and hypoplasia are factors that difficult progression rehabilitation. We present case an infant whom a venting jejunostomy aided treatment. Methods: 5-month-old male infant, with antenatal diagnosis gastroschisis, born at 34 weeks, finding associated atresia, ischemia stenosis ring extra abdominal intestine birth, also absence colon from...
