Soil microorganisms transform plant-derived C (carbon) into particulate organic (POC) and mineral-associated (MAOC) pools. While microbial carbon use efficiency (CUE) is widely recognized in current biogeochemical models as a key predictor of soil (SOC) storage, large-scale empirical evidence limited. In this study, we proposed experimentally tested two predictors POC MAOC pool formation: necromass (using amino sugars proxy) CUE (by 18O-H2O approach). sampling (0-10 10-20 cm depth) was...

ABSTRACT Discogobio is an important small freshwater economic fish in Southwestern China. In this study, we determined the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) sequences of six species by conventional overlapping PCR and Sanger sequencing. The mitogenomes were 16,591–16,605 bp length contained 13 protein‐coding genes, 22 transfer RNA two ribosomal a noncoding region, which was consistent with previously studied Labeoninae mitogenomes. phylogenetic analysis revealed that subfamily...

Discogobio is a genus of small, economically important freshwater fishes that are widely distributed in Southwestern China. The species the morphologically very similar, which makes their taxonomic identification quite challenging. DNA barcoding technology can identify at molecular level, thus overcoming limitations morphological classification. In this study, we collected 16 from China, analyzed mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I subunit (COI) gene sequences 206 samples, and applied to...

The mountainous regions of Southwest China are biodiversity hotspots where geographical isolation promotes genetic differentiation and species diversification. For cave-dwelling like the Pterocryptis anomala, how isolation, historical climate, riverscapes have influenced their evolution remains largely unexplored. Based on 255 samples from Pearl River Yangtze River, this study integrated two mitochondrial genes nuclear to analyze diversity structure P. anomala population. Phylogenetic trees...

Abstract Previous studies have shown that podocyte injury is involved in the development of proteinuria rats under hypobaric hypoxia conditions. Prolyl hydroxylase inhibitors (PHIs) may reduce proteinuria. This study aimed to further investigate whether protective effects hypoxia‐inducible factor 1α (HIF1α) on induced by are related Krüppel‐like 4 (KLF4). Rats were housed a low‐pressure oxygen chamber simulate high‐altitude environment (5000 m), and PHI was intraperitoneally injected....

Dairy mastitis is an inflammatory reaction caused by mechanical injury and stress within the mammary gland, during which microbial changes abnormal lipid metabolism occur. However, underlying mechanism still unclear. The present study used a combination of 16S rDNA sequencing technology lipidomics techniques to reveal effects on lactic microbiota metabolites in milk dairy cows. Twenty multiparous Holstein cows (2-3 parities) with average body weight 580 ± 30 kg were selected for this study....
